The luxury shoe brand Taramay by Nayantara Sood presents its Autumn Winter 2013 collection offering a variety of pieces from classic day wear to glitzy evening wear.

The range includes classic masculine shapes tempered with feminine cuts and colors. As a nod to the androgynous trend the collection beautifully blends the lipstick red loafers or the delicately cut brogues with paisley punch detailing.

The highlights of the collection are reinterpreted smoking glass tasseled slipper and quilted ballet flats with micro studs. The former is created in luxurious velvet and comes in jewel tones, serving as a perfect evening wear. 

The heels in the collection come in the form of wedge ankle boots in deep wine suede upper with a smooth black heel and military details. Also the collection includes is the pixie boot – flat almond-toe boot made of suede with contrast leather lining.
 
Danish Multi-National carpet Company ‘Ege’ and ace designer ‘Rohit Bal’ unveiled the special line of carpets at The Imperial Hotel, recently. The brand has signed on the designer to create a collection under his label that would be sold globally in 65 international markets.

The evening saw the who’s who of the town starting from  Kalyani Chawla, Sanjay Kapoor , Rohit Gandhi, Rahul Khanna, Varun Bahl, , Pia Singh,Chetan Seth and Amisha Seth, Zubair Kirmani, Jejum Gadi, Sarod player Amaan Ali Khan and several others to be part of this one of a kind carpet story.

The Farah Baksh collection is an eclectic mix of cushion covers, dinnerware, centerpieces, bed linen and apparel. The Dashing Hero collection, which is an ode to Shammi Kapoor and his joie de vivre in the Kashmir Valley, lends a kitschy and edgy twist to the collection.  With Kashmir heritage being the crux of the design concept, Farah Baksh is expected to be a mainstay at the Good Earth stores for the next one year, with new design launches every month.

Freesia – School of Creative Studies and Development presented its annual ‘Dance and Couture for a Cause’ event to raise funds and awareness to help children with special needs through fashion and art.

Held in association with The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark, Freddy Svane, the event saw a fashion show presenting the collection of some of Delhi’s prominent designers like Shantanu & Nikhil, Varun Bahl, Malini Ramani, Nandita Basu, Priyanka Modi and Anupamaa Dayal. 

On the occasion Freesia also introduced their home label – Freesia Junior at the fashion show in which the children walked the ramp with their mothers. The event also witnessed a special dance performance by the children from the school and an auction of paintings created by them.

About the NGO, Roma Sahni, Founder, Freesia said “At Freesia, we encourage the creative sectors as part of education to nurture young talents and also give a meaningful life to children facing challenges. Freesia aims at initiating a global change through empowerment of creative studies.”

The evening saw the illustrious names of the city flocking for a cause. The attendees included Sanjay & Sheena Sharma, Pushpanjali Chawla, Shivani Wazir Pasrich, Vikram & Divya Goyal and Jatin Das amongst others.

 As reported earlier about the auditions for Indian World Super Model 2102, Mr. Raj Suri National Director and Official Photographer for World Supermodel Pageant and Bollywood actor Sanjay Suri announced contestant Aasttha Ssiddana as the winner of the evening at Shroom Nightclub, Crescent Mall.

An evening hosted by Siddharth Saigal from Wrap Studio was high in glamour and Fashion, as the winner was presented tickets to Fiji, to represent India at the World Finals, held from 18 Nov to 25th November 2012. The other five finalist, who were selected on the basis of auditions, carried by talent mentor Raj Suri,were:

The innovative out-of-the-box designs of Kiran Uttam Ghosh took Singapore by surprise of late when the designer showcased her festive collection titled, ‘Ghosts of Flowers’ at a show organized by the Singapore Indian Development Association.

The show organized to address the educational and socio economic issues faced by the Indian community in Singapore saw Kiran, being presented by Estee Lauder and Singapore’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel, showcasing a collection comprising of jackets and kurtas embellished with flowers and leaves in soft fabrics for festive season.

The versatile pieces on offer are supposed to bring new dimensions to any ensemble and can be teamed up over a sarong skirt, layered over a pleated wrap top, worn with trousers and jeans or with a sari and lehanga.
