Quintessential divas they celebrated their freedom by looking swish. Saluting Delhi’s divas at a very stylish luncheon, Designer Charu Parashar and Restaurateur Sharmila Nath co hosted women’s day celebratory lunch at Tamangang, DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi.
The afternoon also witnessed the unveiling of Charu’s Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. The creations got defined by clean powerful cuts and silhouettes. The colour ecru dominated the theme as flowing muslins, soft mulls and sensual chiffon lend a flowing feel to the ensembles. Minimal texturing through cut work and quilting created a very feminine, floral theme with Swarovski crystals enhancing the look. The collection which oozes class is perfect for the scorching summers ahead. “This collection is dedication to the emotions of being a complete woman. They create an angle like aura saluting every woman’s power to transcend anything simple into spectacular,” said Charu Parashar.
Creating a special menu for the refined diva, Sharmila Nath offered the finest that Asian cuisine has to offer. Hand picking spicy, scrumptious and delectable specialties she treated the guests to a very interesting summer menu. Speaking on the occasion Sharmila Nath said, “Women are great foodies. They love to indulge in luxurious lunches. Pan Asian cuisine is high on their yummy list and today I have tried to create a very Asian special menu for them.”
