Restaurateur Shiv Karan Singh, Harmeet Bajaj and Virendra Sehwag hosted a gala dinner on the Christmas night to celebrate the stupendous performance of Indian team and third anniversary of Smoke House Grill. Sehwag and wife Aarti were the early birds in the party which also saw some known names from city’s social circuit.

 

Kapil Dev marked his early presence at the venue, accompanied by wife Romi and Amrit Mathur, vice-president of GMR Group. Even though skipper MS Dhoni, made a late entry but got mobbed by fans and socialites. Harbhajan Singh was seen talking about his foray into television show production. Bhajji is set to produce the second season of the reality show, Dance India Dance. When asked about his future plans, he said after a pause: "I have many plans, but I don’t wish to disclose them now.”

 

Vidushi Mehra, designer Nikhil Mehra’s wife who recently acted in a Lushin Dubey production, informed that she has just finished shooting for a movie. "It was tiring but meeting my friends on Christmas is the perfect way to unwind," she said. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi walked in at 2.30 am after most of the guests had left.

 

The Men in blue, clearly the center of attraction, were seen enjoying good food and drinks, with some old Beatles and Elvis Presley tracks churned out by the resident DJ, ensured that the guests partied the night away.
