Surekha Winter Festive 2012Lately, couturier Surekha Jain collaborated with jewelers Rose to unveil a vibrant festive 2012 over a champagne brunch at DLF Emporio, New Delhi.

Combining heritage richness with contemporary design, the designer has infused vintage embroideries with clean lines, chic silhouettes and vibrant colors to create the collection. An aura of elegance is created with ornate surface treatments and luscious palettes of bright fuchsias, bold reds and jewel tones.

The collection boasts of body accentuating fits interspersing with flowing forms rendered through an A-line cut. The use of finest handpicked gota patti with hand cut sequence is further accentuated with dabka and baadla that render the embroidery a rare richness.

My collection combines a multitude of hand embroideries on fabrics like silk and georgettes which have a traditional touch yet a contemporary feel.
