The Apparel Manufacture & Design Department of the prestigious SNDT University organised its annual Chrysialis fashion show at the Leela in Mumbai. The event is one of the evidences and the fruits of the department’s labour, enthusiasm and the passion among the students and the faculty in the field of fashion designing.

The show is a well-defined and an efficient platform for the students who aspire to become the representatives of fashion and latest trends in the country, in the near future. With costumes inspired from onions, Durga Pooja, diamonds and rust, art deco, pixie dust, The Ajanta caves, poverty and patchwork and yashagana artform among others, the show was guided by Shraddha Vohra, HOD – Fashion design Diploma and her able team of teachers including Fakhera Jadliwala, Prarthana Patil, Aparna Garg, Usha Batra, Solange Suri and Komal Patil.

Each student designer’s collection was a display of their strength, efficiency and hard-work that went behind curating their respective garments, which helped them in facing the real world in their career as designers in the true sense.

Gracing the evening, and boosting up the participants’ confidence and excitement were the crème de la crème of the city like Lesle Lewis, Aryan Vaid, Divya Khosla and Viren Singh on the runway, Rasna Behl and Meher Castalino to name a few.
