The day the news of Manish’s break up with PacoRabanne surfaced, the designer showcased his Spring Summer 2012 collection at his Lodhi Colony store in New Delhi with much pizzazz.

The latest collection presents itself as a fascinating expedition that introduces an amalgamation of the futuristic with reminiscent. The infusion of Manish’s trademark playfulness through addition of iridescent and bright florescent accents brings a refreshing contrast on black, brown and white hues.

For the collection designer takes inspiration from the joie de vivre of the 60’s decade with the silhouettes flowing into easy and relaxed shapes featuring mini flared skirts, blousons, well-tailored jackets, innovative tent dresses, raised neck tops, pleated overlap trousers and acidic denims.

The use of techniques like iridescent patchwork, 3-D black & white swirls, cross-stitch, hippie fringes, frayed edges and swish feathers, exist with the beautiful hand embroideries and prints such as Happy People print.

The showcasing saw the who’s who of the city’s glam brigade jazzing up the event.
