Two months after the demise of the legend and five years after his last solo exhibition, Delhi Art Gallery in association with DLF Emporio exhibits the work of legendary artist M.F Hussain from August 7-15, 2011, at The Atrium, DLF Emporio, New Delhi.

The path breaking exhibition marking his return to India, the first since he left the country includes his work across different genres – paintings, drawings, limited edition prints, toys – from the collection of Delhi Art Gallery, with a few works sourced from other important collectors. It includes archival material such as old photographs, newspaper and magazine coverage from rare sources, and other personal material. Films on and by M F Husain will also be screened for the duration of the exhibition. 

Ashish Anand, Director, Delhi Art Gallery remembers the artist, “For me it was a great loss when he passed away in London. This is my contribution to bringing him back to the land of his birth, and to acknowledge that he will always be India’s most popular artist who deserved all the accolades that came his way.”
