“They say never trust a skinny chef, but the fact is, to stay healthy when you’re a chef means you have to work twice as hard”, no matter thin or broad. Well, with my due respect to all the chefs as they bring to us some classical flavors and dishes.

Chef Pankaj of, Vivanta by Taj, Surajkund recreates mela splendor with the Surajkund thali, at their multi-cuisine restaurant Paranda.

Absorbing the cultural spirit, Paranda known for its authentic North Indian delicacies with an urban dhaba feel, has curated the Surajkund thali giving their guests a mystic feel. So much like the fair Chef Pankaj has choosen varied Indian delicacies from Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan.

Reasonably priced for mela aficionados, it has lip smacking starters served along sector 7 Mutton curry, baingan burtha, makhani dal for main course. We loved Mutton Curry and Baingan burtha with traditional smoky flavor while mutton was cooked homestyle in onions and tomatoes. You have varieties of Indian breads served with the thali, from the regular ones like Missi Roti, Laccha Paratha, Pudina Paratha, there was also churchur nan and namak mirch ka prantha which were startling!

PS – Don’t forget to try their masala pepsi & aam panna.

As chef remains eager to wow your palates go ahead and savor your taste buds before 15th Feb’2015!!
