As Fashionfad.in spotted the contestants of Skechers Asian Super Model earlier, now this most coveted Model award in all of Southeast Asia drew its final 16 contestants at F bar & Lounge yesterday for the selection of the three models who will represent India at the ‘Skechers Asian Super Model Awards.
The Models adorned creations from some of the most renowned Indian Designers like Anjana Bhargava, Lecoanet Hemant and Niki Mahajan. Speaking on the occasion Rashmi Virmani said, “I am happy to bring this contest in India for the first time since India as a country has enough talent and we will represent that on an international platform.”
The Jury for this event included some of the stalwarts of Indian fashion, who have created their own identity in the world fashion scenario with the likes of Ritu Beri, Jas Arora, Queeny Dhody, Vikram Bawa and Sunil Sethi.
The Asian Super Model Contest is an annual international model contest being held in China for the last 5 years. 36 young beauties from 13 Countries will participate in the two-day "catwalk war" in the King-style place to showcase their talent with their Asian style & charm. ‘The Ramp model Management’ has been awarded the license to hold the contest for the Indian region and select 3 Models who leave for China on the 22nd of August for the final pageant.
