Nishtha Dudeja won  Miss Deaf Asia in the finale of Miss and Mister Deaf World Pageant held at Prague, Czech Republic in 2018. She represented the state of Delhi at the AIDACS Miss and Mister Deaf India pageant in which she won. Nishtha Dudeja is the first representative from India to win any title at Miss and Mister Deaf World pageant since its inception 18 years ago.

The ravishing beauty who was born deaf, did not think of herself being differently abled and faced tough competition from the likes of China, Thailand, Taiwan, Israel, Czech Republic, Belarus, Mexico, South Africa to name a few.

She is the brand ambassador for Sivantos India Pvt Ltd. (Formerly Siemens hearing Instruments Pvt Ltd.) the world’s leading brand of hearing aids, having about 25 per cent market share globally. The beauty queen is also an accomplished Tennis Player and has played many AITA, ITF and Asian Tour Tennis tournaments. Nishtha had also participated in Deaflympics 2013 (held in Sofia, Bulgaria), World Deaf Tennis Championship 2015 (held in Nottingham, UK) and Deaflympics 2017 (held in Samsun, Turkey).

Nishtha Dudeja had to work very hard with speech therapy in her childhood, to develop her speech and linguistic skills. Hailing from Haryana, Nishtha has been recognized for her all-round achievements in the fields of education (a Commerce graduate from Delhi University she is pursuing her M.A. Economics from Mithibai College, Mumbai), sports, arts and culture by the Government of India. She represented India in Deaflympics – 2013, World Deaf Tennis Championship – 2015 and Deaflympics – 2017. Nishtha Dudeja was conferred with National Award of Disability Empowerment in the category of “Role Model” by Hon’ble Vice President of India in 2018.
