In an effort to raise a healthier generation of kids in America, First Lady Michelle Obama announces a newest initiative ‘Let’s Move Active Schools’, supported by shoe giant Nike. Of late it came out that Nike will spend $50 million on this initiative by Michelle Obama engaging thousands of schools in the country to encourage physical activities among kids.
About the initiative White House states, “It provides simple steps and tools to help schools create active environments where students get 60 minutes of physical activity before, during and after the school day. Mrs. Obama called on school staff, families and communities to work together to reach an ambitious goal of engaging 50,000 schools in this program over the next five years.”
