The fashionistas of la Tinsel Town geared their wheels to Hyatt Regency on August 9, 2011 for witnessing L’Oréal Professional Colour Trophy 2011’s West Regional Finale. Sourendra Kumar Das lets his hair down et brings forth the saga of the à la mode evening as the hairstylists pitted their scissors against each other…

O shinning mirror on the wall, please tell me who has got the best style of them all? L’Oréal gives the answer through their Professional Colour Trophy Awards… The competition is divided in three categories – New Generation, Men’s Image et la Colour Trophy.

The young hairdressers were given three hours to cut, colour et style their model’s hair in front of the jury that included fashion photographer Vikram Bawa et make-up Kapil Bhalla. The models walked la rampe avec their hairdressers showcasing their cut, colour et style. The entire oeuvre mattered as they were judged the way the models were dressed et the way they carried themselves.

In India, la ensemble industry had taken away all the glamour but for some Hairstyling is the next big thing that is about to hit the Fashion scene in India. “In a shoot, I can still play around et manage to cover up if the make-up is incomplete. But if the hair is not done properly, that’s not possible – Hairstyling is that important when it comes to a au-courant look,” revealed Bawa who gives more credit to zero-maintenance hairstyle.
