Amidst all the tension London Fashion Week for Men’s kick started just a day after Conservative barely winning the polls. For the trend shoppers, rich burnt orange along with striking blues and earthy greensis the colour for season, as loose fit trousers made a comeback.

Vivienne Westwood show made a strong appeal for everything natural with the use of crimson rose petals instead of lipstick and plastic forks and empty packets, to coffee cup lids, stuffed to models’ legs, time to recycle.

We bring you the best looks from the last day of the week which had Craig Green, Vivienne Westwood, Nicholas Daley, Michiko Koshino, Katie Eary, Belstaff…

Beaufort Polo Club: The UK round of Maserati’s International Polo Tour saw a thrilling match for the second year running at the Gloucestershire-based Beaufort Polo Club.

Playing in the match at the historic British ground was a very special guest; HRH The Duke of Cambridge who played on the Maserati team alongside England International star player, Malcolm Borwick, as well as Bruce Merivale-Austin and Henry Porter. His Royal Highness took part in the game in aid of the charities Child Bereavement UK and Fields in Trust, of which The Duke is Patron.

Playing on the opposing Dhamani 1969 team was HH The Maharaja of Jaipur, Karan Thapar, Nina Clarkin and Olly Tuthill, whose winning performance saw a final score of 7-6½. The Maserati Most Valuable Player prize was presented to Henry Porter.

Showcased alongside the star-studded line-up of polo players was the entire Maserati line-up including Maserati’s newest model; the luxury Levante SUV.

Art Basel and BMW announced Astha Butail(represented by GALLERYSKE, New Delhi, Bangalore) as the next BMW Art Journey winner. The international jury selected her unanimously from a shortlist of three artists whose works were exhibited in the Discoveries sector at this year’s Art Basel show in Hong Kong.

Her winning project titled “In the Absence of Writing”, is concerned with memory and living traditions that are passed down through teaching and oral poetry. It, in the artist’s words, will be “a homage to the intangible oral traditions that are still alive today.” Butail’s research on systems of cultures started in 2009, when she began learning Sanskrit and memorized a collection of hymns.

For the BMW Art Journey, Butail plans to investigate the Zoroastrian Avesta, Jewish Oral Torah and Indian Veda traditions by observing and recording their different memory techniques and interviewing scholars and practitioners of each tradition. The journey will lead through the cities of Yazd (Iran), Jerusalem (Israel), London (United Kingdom), Varanasi, Pune,New Delhi and Mumbai (India).

The international experts awarding Butail’s proposal were Claire Hsu, Director, Asia Art Archive, Hong Kong; Bose Krishnamachari, President, Kochi-Muziris Biennale,India; Matthias Mühling, Director, Städtische Galerieim Lenbachhaus and Kunstbau, Munich; Alexandra Munroe, Senior Curator of Asian Art, and Senior Advisor, Global Arts, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York; and Pauline J.Yao, Curator Visual Art, M+, Hong Kong.

A Japanese Restaurant Giant. Nakamuraya has taken the opportunity to thank India for their bestselling Indian Curry which was introduced by Indian freedom fighter – Rash Bihari Bose, 90 years back.

Rash Bihari Bose (1886-1945) was a revolutionary leader against the British in India. He fled to Japan to avoid a death sentence and spent the latter half of his life there. He became close to the right-wing nationalists in Japan and was instrumental in almost persuading the Japanese authorities to support the Indian freedom struggle.

Very few people are aware that Rash Bihari Bose was the one who introduced Japanese to authentic Indian style curry. Back then nobody knew, that this Indian curry will become Nakamuraya’s bestselling curry!

Now, more than 6 billion helpings are served annually. Henceforth on the completion of 90 years of this Indian curry, Japan thanks India in their own unique way. As a pioneer of Indian curry in Japan, the company is spearheading a campaign to thank the Indian people for curry.

As part of the two-part campaign, the company will collect images with the hashtag, “#CurryDhanyavaad”, to show Japan’s appreciation for curry to people in India. Diners who post pictures along with the hashtag on social media at one of the company’s restaurants or one of several other curry restaurants in Japan also taking part in the campaign will receive a sticker depicting curry and the campaign hashtag.

Later, a portion of proceeds raised during the campaign will be donated to the Japan-India Association. In doing so, the company hopes to contribute to the continuing growth of relations between the two countries.

Beginning Fall 2017, the internationally renowned American musician/producer duo, Alex Pall and Andrew (Drew) Taggart -The Chainsmokers, will appear as global brand ambassadors for ‘Tommy Hilfiger’ menswear including Hilfiger Edition, Tommy Hilfiger Tailored and Tommy Hilfiger sportswear, beginning Fall 2017, bringing in a modern, youthful twist to the brand’s more than 30-year global menswear legacy.
