Oceedee, an accessible luxury shoe brand, has launched its most anticipated collection designed in collaboration with Rahul Mishra. The collection was showcased as part of Rahul Mishra’s Spring Summer’ 17 collection at Paris Fashion Week in September 2016.

The naive childlike perspective of Henri Rousseau’s art form the inspiration for the embroideries on the shoes while the chequered designs give a contrast to the clothes. In Henri’s art, we see a flower petal metamorphoses into a swan; the leaves into a zebra; flock of birds emerge from the leaves reflecting magical mirroresque impressions.

Designer created a variation of leather shoes, which included chequered designs, 3D embroideries, and rainforest themed embroidery. Traditional artisans bring to life 3D embroidery techniques on natural textiles like cotton voile and organdie inspired by Rousseau’s artworks, which are then transferred on to the leather shoes.

The Rocky Star Label showcased his Autumn winter 2017 collection, Vida at London Fashion Week, right from the heart of India to the ramp of London.

At London Fashion week, Autumn Winter 2017, The Rocky Star Label manifested old world charm with new age magic in dramatic silhouettes and decorative prints. The colour palette signified the contrasting sides of a soul; joy and fear in contrasting shades of ivory and black with undertones of dusty greys and smooth beiges. Textured lace and embroideries with free-flowing silhouettes and flattering cuts highlighted the grandeur of the gothic period.

Designer Gaurav Gupta initiates the Guerrilla movement – ‘The Anti-Pollution Riot Campaign’, an effort to raise awareness about the sad truth of living in one of the most polluted country in the world, ​and help to raise awareness about this shocking situation and find solutions as a community in these toxic times.

With the insights on the state of our times. PM 2.5 is the invisible concentration of Particulate Matter in the air – WHO Safe level is 25ug.  In comparison: Beijing declared red alert at PM 2.5 – 250 ug, Tehran at 150ug And Paris at 80ug, Delhi at any given time is between 250ug -1000ug, and Mumbai also averages at 250ug but reaches 500ug at times which is hazardous, toxic and inhabitable.

At certain times the level in Delhi and various other cities in India reach as high as 1400ug, which is equivalent to chemical warfare. This is a nationwide emergency – Death by Breath for all life forms and us citizens.

Gaurav strongly holds the belief that even though we are in the worst situation – children and people in general are resistant to masks, as we are still to fully appreciate the gravity.

The pen includes the certificate of authenticity signed by its creators.
