A Royal Rendezvous
Rani Kamini Singh of Seohara along with Johny Choudhary of Café Public Connection hosted a majestic fashion spectacle to unveil Kamini Singh’s’ latest festive collection ‘Mogra’ at Café Public Connection, Connaught Place.
Members of the former Royal families from various princely states of India along with other prominent faces including Royalties Nawab Kazim Ali Khan of Rampur, Rajkumari Nandini Singh of Jhabua & Rajkumari Madhvi Singh of Simor; and other famed socialites strutted the ramp as muses in stunning ensembles by Designer Kamini Singh.

Fendi Way: Karlito
With his fun and colored fur crest, Karlito lands for the first time on FENDI timepieces, after making his debut on the FENDI Fall/Winter 2014-2015 fashion show, the Fendi My Way Karlito, is daring yet innovative, paying homage to Karl Lagerfeld.
An ironic caricature of Karl’s face with his distinctive sunglasses pervade the silver, white and black lacquered dial, which is set with 3 diamonds as indexes. A circle of steel studs decorates the sleek black steel bezel, while the FENDI signature stands at 12 o’clock. For a more subtle daytime watch, the fur collar can be removed, revealing the watch bracelet’s elegant lines and the seductive curves of the case inspired by the shape of the ancient Roman amphitheaters.
Gaurav Gupta Collection at India Couture Week 2016
Gaurav Gupta will be showcasing his couture collection on 23rd July, Saturday, 9:30pm at India Couture Week 2016.
The starting point of the collection was the reaction from the brides and couture client. It is a much more romantic collection than the kind of couture we’ve been doing till now. It has inspiration varied from the game of thrones to the Gaurav Gupta enchanted forest. We are constantly inspired by newer forms and newer techniques. Inspiration comes from want to create extremely contemporary modern indianwear and larger than life unique ball gowns, says the designer.
His upcoming couture collection explores unusual silhouettes of unconventional forms, mixed with a log of drapes and intelligent construction with an electrifying effect of shimmering Swarovski crystals in the latest innovation – the Crystal Fine mesh. There are multi-layered high waist skirts, lots of layering and classic silhouettes with a modern twist, making them sexy and timeless. The brands indigenous techniques of futuristic boning, sculpting and Indian baroque come into play in this collection. There are newer special techniques, intricate embroideries and dramatic boned off-shoulder necklines.
The color palette is newer softer pastels with options of vintage colors like an English blue, lavender and cherry. The collection will focus on a glamorous line of modern Indian gowns, draped Sarees styled with unusual jackets and saree lehengas.”
KICHU by Kichu Dandiya
KICHU, a young fashion brand, aims at producing high quality, well finished products, to be worn every day, for the well-travelled will be housed at Fantastique by Abu Sandeep. The style is a narrative in contrast where inspiration is drawn from various ethnicities into a visually modern concept; the brand aims to be ever-changing and always evolving.
Her latest collection RAWRR is inspired by forms of the wildlife. The aesthetics are minimal, yet bold and each piece is made of casted solid brass then plated with gold. From using shapes of animals and forging real shark’s tooth, KICHU employs the unexpected to create her inspired work.

Porsche Experience for Women
Porsche stands for an outstanding driving experience, timeless design, strong emotions and a special lifestyle. The two actresses, Claudia Eisinger (Mängelexemplar) and Julia Dietze (Iron Sky) had the opportunity to find this out for themselves on the Porsche racing track in Leipzig. Under the guidance of the youngest Porsche Carrera Cup racing driver, Michelle Gatting, they both demonstrated their skills on Porsche’s own racing track.
“I once sat in a Porsche and ever since then I have dreamt of driving one at full speed. The experience I had with Porsche in Leipzig today was better than I ever could have imagined: unlimited fun while driving, top speeds, pure adrenaline – and yet I still felt completely safe”, said Claudia Eisinger.
Another highlight was the presentation of the new Porsche Design Woman Spring/Summer 2017 collection, which perfectly combines the seemingly opposing virtues of functionality and design. The Motorsport Lounge, right next to the pit area, provided the ideal location to showcase the sporty, elegant fashion looks. A particular highlight of the exclusive preview was the new “VisorBag” from the sub-label, whose design language is inspired by motor racing. Julia Dietze thought the “VisorBag” was the perfect accessory for today’s day on the racing track. It’s sporty, elegant and timeless all at once.”
