Amazon Fashion has appointed digital fashion icon, Chiara Ferragni, as its European brand ambassador for Spring/Summer 2016 (SS16).
Chiara visited Amazon’s state of the art European Fashion Photography Studio in Shoreditch, East London, to shoot the campaign with photographer Cass Bird and i-D magazine’s Fashion Editor, Julia Sarr-Jamois. She modelled her favourite pieces for SS16 which include co-ords, an embellished jumpsuit, and tailored mini dresses from brands including Gestuz, Selected Femme, Tommy Hilfiger and new-to-Amazon Fashion, Keepsake.

“Chiara is a smart business woman with a strong sense of personal style and is a great advocate for our ‘Don’t look like me, look like you’ campaign” said Juliet Warkentin, Director of Brand & Creative, Amazon Fashion Europe.

As the duo explores the flat impressionist works of celebrated French artist Henri Rousseau and his re-interpretations of visits to botanical gardens on the flatness of the canvas..

V& A is holding an exhibition of Sandro Botticelli (1445-1510), recognized as one of the greatest artists of all time. Including painting, fashion, film, drawing, photography, tapestry, sculpture and print, the exhibition will explore the ways that artists and designers have reinterpreted Botticelli. It will include over 50 original works by Botticelli, alongside works by artists such as Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Edward Burne-Jones, William Morris, René Magritte, Elsa Schiaparelli, Andy Warhol and Cindy Sherman.

Telling a story 500 years in the making, Botticelli Reimagined will be the largest Botticelli exhibition in Britain since 1930. His celebrated images are firmly embedded in public consciousness and his influence permeates art, design, fashion and film. However, although lauded in his lifetime, Botticelli was largely forgotten for more than 300 years until his work was progressively rediscovered in the 19th century

Chandrani Siingh Fllora will showcase an ingenious collection at the upcoming AIFW AW16. Keeping the aesthetic of Kolkata alive, Chandrani’s latest collection “Mrityunjay” inspired by Lord Shiva’s avatar will use his symbols like the Trishul, conch shell and cannabis leaves in the form of ingenious prints and sparkling embroidery techniques. White, rust, grey, indigo and bottle green will add flavour to this line. Interestingly, this is the first time she will be using hand woven fabrics and has experimented with delightful stripes and ombre dyeing techniques.

Manish Arora presented a vibrant and colorful collection at Paris Fashion Week, inspired by the murder mystery television series Twin Peaks and sweets.

Models appeared in bejeweled face masks with feathers and pom-poms as they walked the runway in studded skirts, ruffled tops and embroidered jackets, accessorized with cowboy boots, with vibrant colour palette.

Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), announced the show schedule and list of designers for the 27th edition of the Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2016.This year, 101 designers will be showcasing through runway and exhibition, from all over the country, will add unrestrained glamour in an extravaganza, which comprises 30 splendid shows with 45 designers on the ramp at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi Road.
