Presentation-
After presenting his debut collection in 1947, Christian Dior was immortalized in the world of Fashion. His New Look emerged following the hardships of the war, and in mesmerizing the entire world.
It’s questioning of form and silhouettes were revived, after his premature death, by the great coutouriers who succeeded him: YSL, John Galliano, Marc Bohan and today Raf Simons.
Taking an entirely original approach to fashion and photography, Jerome Gautier follows the interplay between Christian Dior’s most emblematic works and the most recent collection.
Dior As such New Looks exposes how the legendary fashion house continues to embody the quintessence of haute couture while honoring the past, as Christian Dior did in the 1940’s and the 1950’s
