The Gucci resort 2016 collection was enamored with geek chic – the nerd glasses, the pom-pom hats, the prim bow-and-nosegay collars. Frilled-placket shirtdresses, suits, chic librarian pleated skirts, glorious ruffled and embroidered gowns. It all came in burst of color, patterns in florals and geometrics, decorative flourishes from strips of black lace on a purple dress to giant crystal dragonflies bedazzling a red, blue and green striped mink coat.

Victoria Beckham launched her resort collection 2016 which was not based on a theme but was designed to meet the needs of her customers.
This time Victoria experimented with sequins and lace. Loose sequined shirt was paired with slick flat-fronted tuxedo trousers and a crisp Japanese lace drop-waisted skirt was teamed with balloon-sleeved T-shirt. There were body-con gowns and cocktail dresses with abstract cutaways.
Jeans were made from premium Japanese raw denim and some coat shapes from the fall collection were recut in lighter materials to create asymmetrically draped dresses.
Johnny Talbot and Adrian Runhof resort 2016 collection was inspired by water in all its forms.
The designers creatively used technical fabrics to create a wet, shimmery appearance like water. Voluminous silhouettes perfectly matched the theme. There were languid dresses and evening separates in metallic jacquards. Lurex, fil coupé, velvets, cellophane and silk were embellished with stunning oversize beading.
Other stunning looks were a glimmering navy gown in Lurex joined to jersey and a colorful coat done in pink patterned jacquard.
The husband and wife duo Sachin and Babi Ahluwalia presented their latest resort collection 2016 which had splendid clean silhouettes.
The new lineup brought stunning dresses joined with navy stripes, a colorful floral print and a pinstriped jacket in audacious tropical colors. The duo creatively used fringes on tops and dresses.
The collection also had diagonal-ribbed sweaters that were perfectly slouchy. The designers also launched Noir, a young and playful approach to evening focused on full skirts, cropped tops and embroidered dresses.
