400 1Ralph Lauren opened its 9,100 square foot store in one of the largest tourist destinations, Brazil to be precise. The store features archways made of cast stone and white plaster, with two water fountains at the entrance.

The store will house men’s wear and women’s wear collections, in addition to accessories, footwear, and timepieces. With the layout of alternating smaller and larger rooms, one of Ralph’s key aesthetics, it consists of oak beams, stained concrete floors with oak ties, hand-finished plaster walls, and painted white furniture along with a bar to serve cocktails.

Owned by Chanel, Scottish knitwear brand Barrie has unveiled its Autumn/ Winter 2015 ad campaign featuring gorgeous actress Lily Collins.

Photographed by Chanel and Fendi’s creative director Karl Lagerfeld, the images show Lily with a pixie crop haircut posing in a Fairisle knit and boyish culottes and doing some gentle pruning with scissors, wearing a blush bobble hat and matching gloves to stave off the cold.

The latest collection will be available Barrie’s Paris and London stores by mid-June.

Calvin Klein Collection has signed on as a sponsor of Drifting in Daylight, a dynamic springtime art exhibition in New York City’s Central Park presented by leading public art organization Creative Time, and Central Park Conservancy.

On Friday, May 15th, Creative Time and Central Park Conservancy will unveil Drifting in Daylight, a dreamy springtime pathway of art winding through the world’s most iconic park. Co-curated by Cara Starke and Nato Thompson, the six-weekend show is the centerpiece of Central Park Conservancy’s 35th Anniversary celebration, this free public exhibition aims to draw visitors into the park’s beautiful North end, much of which has been expertly restored by the Conservancy.

1Artists including Marc Bamuthi Joseph, Spencer Finch, Alicia Framis, Nina Katchadourian, Ragnar Kjartansson, David Levine, Karyn Olivier, and Lauri Stallingswill invite guests to explore Northern Central Park landscape features such as the Harlem Meer, Great Hill, and Conservatory Gardens. The exhibition runs on Fridays and Saturdays from 12 – 6pm until June 20th, sets sail from the lakeside Dana Discovery Center, set atop the park’s Northeastern Harlem Meer near the corner of 110th Street and the world-famous Fifth Avenue.

Marc Jacobs has swiped our stripes, a new lawsuit by Adidas charges at the District of Oregon court. Three-Stripe Mark to intentionally “mislead and deceive consumers” into thinking the garments were Adidas designs.

1Sports brand Adidas has accused fashion designer Marc Jacobs of producing similar imitations of its iconic three-stripe motif with sweatshirts bearing four stripes down each sleeve. Adidas wants Marc Jacobs to immediately stop using four stripes — and wants allof the designer’s four-striped clothing already on the market to be destroyed. Adidas is also seeking unspecified cash damages.

430It was a glamorous evening when  celebrities gathered at the home of Honorary Chair Dinho Diniz  at  São Paulo, Brazil for  fifth annual Inspiration Gala, paying tribute to Cher, Felipe Diniz and Jean Paul Gaultier and raising fund for amfAR’s life-saving AIDS research programs.

Presented by Harry Winston and co- hosted by Naomi Champbell,  the program began with performance by popstar Kylie Minogue. Jean Paul Gaultier was awarded with  amfAR Lifetime Achievement Award while Felipe Diniz  and Cher were awarded with amfAR Award of Inspiration.

The  live auction started with a $100,000 donation by Felipe Diniz for the Jean Paul Gaultier dress that was being worn at the event by his brother Dinho’s girlfriend, Danielle Pontes followed by a signed 1962 Bert Stern photograph of amfAR co-founder Dame Elizabeth Taylor with tickets to upcoming amfAR Inspiration Galas in New York and Los Angeles. The highest selling auction lot  was a signed Nina Pandolfo artwork titled Maiorque a Imensidao da Paz. Pandolfo.

The show came to end with an one of Brazil’s greatest ever “sambistas,” Alcione. The evening saw presence of celebritieslike Kate Moss, Riccardo Tisci, , Sabrina Sato, Juliana Paes, Lazaro Ramos, Izabel Goulart, Deborah Secco, Fernanda Motta, and Thais Araujo to name a few.
