On its 175th birthday, the luxury Swiss watch brand, Patek Philippe comes up with a series of exquisite piece of watches along with its magnificent Grandmaster Chime.

Among the series of the limited edition range of watches introduced, three designs are for men and one design for women. However, the one in the limelight, the showstopper of the celebration is surely the splendid Grandmaster Chime which also lists to one of the most complicated wrist watches ever!

Speaking of its features, the wrist watch has a double face-for date and time that spins between the lugs, an ornately engraved rose gold case, an alligator strap, and astonishing 20 different complications including a range of different sonneries and repeaters.

Meanwhile, the processing of this masterpiece took as many as 100,000 hours, which included its development, production, and assembly with 11,060 meticulously hand-finished parts in the seven limited-edition versions of the watch. Besides, one of them will go on display in the company’s permanent collection, while the six others are priced at $2.6 million.

Well, with admirable complications like month display, date display, four-digit year display, 24 hour and minute subdial and crown position indicator to name a very few, the collection is surely going to attract a number of wristwatch-freak buyers.

The exuberant American skincare and beauty brand officially announced on 15th October that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Le Labo, a deal which will close in November.

wFounded in 2006, Le Labo has come a long way over the years, expanding its scale of business to a full range of sprays, gels, lotions, soaps and candles. With a well-established international business, the brand is now backed by the legendary beauty company and is now expected to grow to an unimagined pedestal.

Meanwhile, post-acquisition the brand will be taken care of by Estée Lauder’s president, John Demsey. However, what position will be held by Le Labo’s founders, namely Fabrice Penot and Eddie Roschiboth, is unknown as of now.

200 yOlay, the American skincare line taps its first brand ambassador-the very gracious, vibrant and glamorous Katie Holmes.

Previously, Katie has been the face of some of the leading beauty products brands like Bobbi Brown by Kate Upton, Alterna and many more.

Also, her first job as the brand ambassador will also see her front the ‘Your Best Beautiful’ campaign, an initiative which encourages women to settle for nothing but the best, most importantly, their skin and beauty.

Moreover, with reference to the whooping amount of trust that women lay on Olay, Katie surely steps towards yet another milestone of her career.

The Museum of London is currently featuring fashion photography inspired by the one and only Sherlock Holmes, from designers like Vivienne Westwood and Craig Green.

Titled ‘He Wasn’t An Easy Gentleman To Describe’, the exhibition also features clothes from these designers.

580Also, the starting point for each picture, by Kasia Wozniak, taken with a vintage camera dating from the early 1900s, was a quote from one of the original Conan Doyle Sherlock Holmes mysteries.

The exhibition will run through 15th October 2015. All you Sherlock Holmes fans out there, this one is a must visit!

The third day of the Tokyo Fashion Week kicked off with an exciting amount of curiosity and fervour among the onlookers.

Speaking of fashion labels Noir Fr, Lamarck and Haori De Titi, the atmosphere set by them was mostly quiet and subtle with an underlying expressionism. The former’s looks were replete of eerie evening wear, wherein a saturated amount of metallic finish was employed. Lamarack, however, went comparatively soothing, showcasing yet another evening wear collection, but with pleasant floral prints and easy to wear silhouettes. Haori De Titi’s were the most unique of all, replete of Japanese influences, free flowing silhouettes and a dull simplistic colour palette.

580Up next, the terrific trio of Kidill, Atsushi Nakashima and Johan Ku Gold left an everlasting impact on the third day completely. All the collections were innovative, experimenting yet highly admirable in their own way. Free flowing silhouettes were seen rampant in each and every creation of the above fashion labels. The themes underlying each collection included casual street wear, funky semi-formal wear and elegant evening wear respectively. However, Johan Ku Gold stood outshining among all, specifically because of the use 3D embellishments and a vintage scheme of colours.

580 1Finally, one of the major highlights of the day also included the name of Yoshio Kubo. One of Tokyo’s most in-style fashion designers, Yoshio Kubo showcased a high-tech fabric collection for ready to wear 2015. The looks were entirely dedicated to the cool, funky, flamboyant yet the personality driven man. From cool sweaters youthful jackets and edgy denims to classic hoods, blazers and cardigans, the collection came full circle when it came to men’s styling. Also, on surface stripes along with an unusual use of bright colours remain the highlighting essences of the collection.
