TV personality, presenter and actress known for her keen fashion sense and individualistic aesthetics Roshni launched her own signature fashion label “Roshni Chopra Design” at Pali Village Cafe, Mumbai.
The idea is to use the rich Indian cultural heritage, full of craftsmanship right from weavers to embroideries and embellishments and make the art more accessible. Something that can be dressed up or dressed down” says Roshni speaking about her label.
Seen making a statement as her muse were Mini Mathir, Maria Goretti, Priyanka Bose, Shweta Salve, Shweta Bharadwaj and Laxmi Rai alongwith guests Zeba Kohli, Bansri Mehta, Bijay Anand, Priyanka Oberoi, Diandra Soares and Amrita Puri.
Swanson Frank’s ‘Young Hollywood’
Acclaimed photographer and Stylist, Claiborne Swanson Frank curated an exciting new tome titled ‘Young Hollywood’ featuring some of the freshest faces of Hollywood. Drawing immense inspiration from her experiences in Los Angeles, this book comes following from the artist’s first book titled ‘American Beauty’. Accompanied by an excelling forward written by Michael Kors, ‘Young Hollywood’ honours the history of Hollywood through the stories of the next generation talents.
The artist possesses unimaginable nostalgia wherein she gets influenced by the past for most of her works. Likewise, ‘Young Hollywood’ too channels the vintage locations and wardrobes of ancient Hollywood along with these modern, vivacious and extremely talented faces of Hollywood like Camilla Belle, Lea Michele, Ireland Basinger Baldwin and Isabel Lucas to name a very few.
Besides, Michael Kors’ introduction which comprises of deeply American aesthetic and his idea of glamour and beauty, ‘Young Hollywood’ ends up being all the more powerful and organic. Of the two, Amrita Khanna is an aspiring graduate from the prestigious London College of Fashion. With an extremely functional approach to contemporary lifestyles, she curated her label ‘Lovebirds’ in 2010. She later joined hands with the space and graphic designer Gursi Singh in 2013 to come up with an impeccable sense of style and unique cuts for their collection.
‘Lovebirds’ as a fashion brand is ideal for those with a conscious, sensitive and determined approach towards fashionable styling. Replete of accessories, vintage luggage, handbags, footwear and clothing for men and women, the label is extremely chic and quirky. However, hints of exclusive femininity and delicacy can also be spotted in their creations.
Speaking of their accomplishments over the years, Amrita and Gursi got the privilege of getting their label featured in the most up-market fashion magazine like Elle and Harper’s Bazaar. Thereafter, they marked the milestone of their career by making a debut appearance at one of the leading fashion platforms in India, Lakme Fashion Week.
Participating among the leading fashionistas of the country and a hub of onlookers, the designer marked their big break by presenting their label to a much a wider audience and mainstream media during the recently concluded Winter Festive 2014 season of Lakme Fashion Week.
Presently, they retail their collection through exclusive designer stores in New Delhi.

Celebrities’ Fashion at Emmys ‘14
One of the most awaited award ceremonies, Emmy Awards 2014 concluded recently with the highly popular fashionistas of Hollywood dressed in the most subtle, fashionably classy and glamorous way possible.
To begin with, English actress and singer Michelle Dockery looked stunning in a Rosie Assoulin gown with a sleek halter neck and mild layers. Kerry Washington looked charmingly beautiful in an orange off-shoulder Prada ensemble with a thigh high sensual slit and sparkling short skirt underneath.
American actress Claire Danes looked absolutely mesmerising in fiery red Givenchy gown with a beautiful net coating and an all highlighting floral neck piece. Sarah Paulson looked elegantly dynamic and vivacious in Armani Privé’s black gown embellished with 3D red dotted embellishments.
The gorgeous Allison Williams presented herself in a magnificent Gambattista Valli couture gown, which in its own simplistic way displayed oomph and exuberance.
The evening followed with numerous other glitterati dressed in their best red carpet ensembles, including Julia Roberts, January Jones, Gwen Stefani, Jessica Paré and many more.
