Three new women’s wear designers J.JS Lee, Nasir Mazhar and Sophia Webster, have been awarded the Fashion Forward prize for two consecutive seasons, AW14 and SS15, supported by the Mayor of London.

Jackie, Nasir and Sophia have come through the ranks and couldn’t be more deserving of this level of recognition. Each of them has a very distinctive design aesthetic, their visions very different from one another however together they very much share the limelight that is shining on London right now”,said Caroline Rush, Chief Executive, British Fashion Council.

For the first time J. JS Lee will open London Fashion Week with a highly anticipated show at 9am in the BFC Courtyard Show Space on Friday 14th February. Nasir Mazhar will show the same day at 4pm at the BFC Courtyard Show Space and Sophia Webster will present her collection from 10.30-12.30pm on Sunday 16th February in Covent Garden.

Haute Couture Paris:

Donatella Versace looked to eighties icon Grace Jones for Atelier Versace’s spring-summer 2014 collection, opening the haute couture shows in Paris. The collection had iconic hooded jumpsuits and body conscious gowns with rich jewel tones and slinky metallic fabrics. A standout of the collection included a diaphanous silver gown worn by Kati Nescher with one arm in a mix of sheer and elegant draping.

Haute CoutureParis:

For haute couture, Raf Simon casted clean cuts and light and airy fabrics, sack dress, loose chemise-style sheath with a gathered cape back of 1950s, naturally loose and long locks with bold bangs, swept in graphic fashion across foreheads.

Backlash Labdyers Collection 

Unlike previous seasons’ 2014 Fall Winter is about Backlash dying factories workers and  labdyer is sharp craftsman; his working outfit is not uniform anymore.

Gucci casts fresh faces for its spring-summer 2014 campaign, rising star Amanda Wellsh and Elisabeth Erm pose in a set of seductive images, wearing the sporty glam designs of creative director Frida Giannini.

The campaign shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in a studio is focused on clothing giving it a sensual and luxurious feel.

Sangita Singh Kathiwada hosted a special preview of Painted Clothing by Prof Leroy Parker at Melange, Mumbai.

At a special evening Prof Leroy Parker painted living sculpture live on businessman Jamshed Mistry while Manasi Scott attended wearing a painted sari by Prof Leroy Parker. Seeing the painted clothing refreshes people, says Prof Leroy, it reminds them of the creative freedom of spirit in all of us.
