Acclaimed artist Samar Singh Jodha held an exclusive preview of his latest enterprise Outpost in the capital at the Italian Embassy Cultural Centre, in collaboration with India Art Fair.
‘OUTPOST by Jodha’ is a visual essay on spontaneous individual expression in a rapidly homogenizing global culture. Wherein Jodha deploys a pictorial trope of discarded containers fashioned into habitat by miners in India’s pristine northeast.
“I have tried to look inwards at the art making process itself, which like the art that is being produced, is also getting redefined or framed by globalization,” said Samar Singh. At the event, Jodha also launched the coffee table book, featuring the amalgamation of the collection showcased at the Venice Biennale and the black and white fine art photographs launched at the event.

If you were watching Elie Saab’s spring 2014 show, which just walked in Paris, you would have witnessed firsthand the dangers and tragedies runway models face.

The show’s model fell, in a floor-length blue gown; she had a quick fall then hopped back up to her feet and staggered before regaining her balance.

Well, wonder who is to be blamed the dragged gown, heels or…

You can never be too careful walking.

Every day is a new beginning, written on a giant Post-it note and with a smiley sun below, marks the spirit of Paul Smith’s exhibition that runs through March 9 at the Design Museum by the River Thames in London.
One of the life-size cardboard cut-out images of Paul Smith —leans forward at the end of a long “runway,” where the walls are covered with colorful images that have inspired him or marked his career.
The curator Donna Loveday highlights the many Paul Smith collaborations, which include a Mini car in the same stripes of vivid color found on the designer’s socks and ties. I wanted to tell the story by taking it back to the shop in Nottingham, trying to give real insight into how Paul works, to take people behind the scenes and to show Paul’s creative approach, where he gets his ideas and inspiration,” said Ms. Loveday

Yiqing Yin showcased her inspiration through Layers of crepe-y gray fabric, one-shouldered metallic .for his Spring 2014. Dress, made of thin tubes of cream jersey with its skirt done in pleated fur and sheer white chiffon dotted with small tufts of white fur, was quiet a stopper.

Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad’s spring couture 2014, had racy gowns , which is been a favorite amongst  Jennifer Lopez and Kristen Stewart.

The show had a series of red-carpet looks in ivory, black and gold, and some with animal-skin motifs. A sequence of heavily embellished gowns in a rainbow of pastel hues, piled with shiny fabric flowers, sequins and feathers, was new from designers stable.
