Tod’s Group modeled one of their leading brands: Fay, in the Milan Fashion Week official programme for the first time. On the catwalk were creations from the duo Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi, who gave seventies athletic, wear a luxe spin for the spring collection.

Bright rainbow palette to produce graphic hooded jackets, flippy skirts and silk sweatshirts with an upbeat vibe, body-conscious dresses came in collages of mesh, patent leather and a Neoprenelike duchesse satin finished with oversize zippers that sometimes produced unwelcome bulk in back.

Sergio Rossi’s Spring-Summer 2014 Collection represents the culmination of a creative approach that, starting exploring the design and decorative arts of the early seventies.

Angelo Ruggeri, Collections and Design Director, applied to the eclecticism of those years the signature style of the brand based on refinement, artisan tradition, and a keen eye for detail, creating a multifaceted collection in which pure shapes are accentuated through the choice and combination of different materials and colors.

The collection has two universal themes inspired by the versatile aesthetic of those years: the organic world with its rich variety of elements and the kaleidoscope as a filter that creates amazing shapes and reflections.

Natural elements are bamboo, which is used for sculptural sandals with contrasting metallic details, and giraffe or zebra-print gladiator-style sandal boots made of stingray leather.

Also evoking nature are the animal prints renewed in an optical illusion created by luxurious soutage embellishments or the abstract version of a camo patchwork in pony skin leather inspired by a famous creation of Giò Ponti and made with a skillful intarsia technique.
