French luxury group Kering SA recently said it bought a minority stake in U.S. based fashion brand Altuzarra. The American label, founded by Joseph Altuzarra will still remain independent and the designer’s mother will continue to act as company chairman.

The deal will be beneficial to Altuzarra in launching its debut accessories line and also to develop its infrastructure. Kering will deliver its knowledge and years of experience in expanding some of fashion’s biggest names – including Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen and Christopher Kane.

Dior recently unveiled their Miss Dior Autumn/Winter 2013 campaign, featuring the 23-year-old Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence.

The campaign shot by photographer Willy Vanderperre, showcases the star posing in Dior’s sculpted tuxedos along with Miss Dior bags and clutches. Jen’s blue eyes really pop against the white backdrop, while a neutral, shimmering shadow lets her natural beauty shine through. The star’s hair was worn back, keeping the focus on her facial features.

Style icon Alexa Chung was excited to reveal her latest piece of work, a self-written book called It, at the launch at Liberty London on Wednesday night.

The cover of the book is pale pink with the star’s name in scrawled script across the top, a photo of Alexa’s eye and the title It. Ms Chung’s new book includes her own photographs and drawing, but talking about her literary venture, Alexa says, ‘It’s definitely not an autobiography, but it’s me writing, so in a way it probably will have that element.’ Alexa further revealed that her passion lies in art rather than fashion and said that drawing is what she does best.

It by Alexa Chung is published by Particular Books at £16.99.
