The multi-designer luxury fashion house Kimaya recently kick started the festive season with Ritu Beri on house – displaying her exotic festive collection at Kimaya Juhu in Mumbai.

The opulent collection on display came as a romantic yet flamboyant range with contemporary silhouettes and subtle details of embroidery exuding soft feminine appeal. From pastels to bright colors in fabrics like pure cotton and laces, chiffons for casual wear to light weight silk, crepes and brocade for the festive wear, the highlight of the collection is the intricate embroidery with a different take.

The camaraderie between Kimaya and Ritu Beri comes with a noble cause of helping Ritu Beri’s charity “The Blessed Hearts Foundation” as Kimaya will give part proceeds of sales to it which will further help raising funds for ‘Action towards Autism’.

Speaking on the occasion Ritu Beri said, “I am very happy to be back to Mumbai after such a long time and Kimaya was the best destination to showcase my collection. I have just worked on my festive collection for the season, which perfectly combines the spirit of festivity in a stylish way. My collection is very feminine and colorful and I am very happy to see it in Kimaya for the next four days.”

The event was attended by who’s who of the city including Bhagyashree, Sounia Gohil, Sheeba, Hasleen Kaur, Achla Sachdev, Bally Sagoo and Sahil Anand amongst others.

Celebrating 156 years of history, British functional design values and the craftsmanship at the heart of the brand, Burberry launches its mechanical watch collection The Britain.

Directly inspired by the iconic Burberry trench coat, the collection features four different movements, including a 40-hour power reserve automatic, automatic and chronograph watches for men and women.
An iconic Burberry colour palette runs through the collection and details, and a transparent case back on automatic watches highlights the intricacies of the movement and the Swiss craftsmanship behind it.

To celebrate the launch, Bela Madan hosted a cocktail event at the Burberry Prorsum, Oberoi New Delhi store, which was well attended by many of cities socialites including Ala & Rajan Madhu, Neena Verma, Ramola Bachchan, Tanya Ahuja, Tanisha Mohan, Neelam Pratap Rudy, industrialists Anil Vig, Payal Kapoor, Vandy & Manoj Mehra, Priya Mohan, Nishi Singh, amongst others.


M•A•C Cosmetics Viva Glam girl and multi-platinum recording artist Nicki Minaj visited Selfridges London to help raise awareness for the M•A•C VIVA GLAM campaign and celebrate the recent launch of her new M•A•C VIVA GLAM Lipglass.

Forty lucky fans were chosen at random and were treated to Viva Glam lip makeovers and be part of a special M•A•C VIVA GLAM experience at Selfridges London. Every single penny from the RRP of M•A•C VIVA GLAM products will go towards helping women, men and kids affected by HIV/AIDS. Since its inception, the M•A•C AIDS Fund has raised more than USA$270 million through the sale of VIVA GLAM products.

The last fifteen transformative years at Balenciaga had its creative director Nicholas Ghesquiere playing a pivotal role to come out of the blurriness of oblivion.

But surprisingly, the designer who was appreciated by all and sundry for his latest Spring Summer 2013 showcasing has called it quits, seemingly moving to the greener pastures. The statement issued by French fashion conglomerate PPR which owns the brand cited a joint decision to end their partnership, calling Nicholas an incomparable creative talent.

Though the replacement of Nicholas was not revealed but the designer who helped to edify the crumbling brand is rumored to have been offered a lucrative deal by PPR’s archrival French fashion company LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton.
