Burberry F/W 2012 Ad Campaign
The black and white days of gone by decades seems like making a comeback with every other fashion brand keeping away from colors. The latest in the series of such monochrome campaigns is of Burberry.
The Brit luxury fashion label Burberry unveiled its Autumn Winter 2012 campaign in true British style featuring trench coats and wool flat caps. The newest stars of the brand posing are Gabriella Wilde and singer Roo Panes.
Shot by Mario Testino, images have this misty representation of the streets of London and reflect dreaminess.
The Blaze of Birkin
Ask any woman, and she will reel off her fetish for Birkin, the iconic bag from the house of Hermes. Even a scratch on this $100,00bag can make her heart bleed, spare the thought of it in the flames.
But Francesca Eastwood, daughter of veteran filmmaker Clint Eastwood thinks differently. The 18-year-old starlet and her photographer boyfriend Tyler Shields belted out a piece of art by setting fire to a crocodile Hermes Birkin Bag before taking a chainsaw to it.
However, the twist is that except this gold, diamond whatever spoon fed kiddo no one else find her work in good taste, or so-called artistic. Blazing a piece of art is more like an attention seeking capricious crusade.
Mayyur Girotra Pret Wear
Designer Mayyur Girotra exported the entire audiences at FIO Country Kitchen, Garden of Five Senses New Delhi, to showcase his Pret Collection. Inspired by Ibiza his Spring Summer 2012 collection was a bouquet of flowing dresses combined with minimalistic thread embroidery in neon and tangerine colors of hot pinks, Orange, Yellow, Green and Lemon, with designer choosing Delhi’s social women as his muse.
Adding to the event was the artwork displayed by artist Jyotika Chhabra which was inspired by the different avatars of a woman and mudras.
