The Porsche Design P’1140 RawTec Blazer has been awarded the international red dot product design award for 2012. The unique leather blazer earned the accolade of "red dot: best of the best" for its superlative design quality in the "Fashion, Lifestyle and Accessories" category. All in all, around 1,800 companies from 58 countries entered this year’s red dot award competition with more than 4,500 submissions. The awards ceremony will be held on 2nd July 2012 in Essen (Germany).

"Puristic and timeless, that’s the maxim of Porsche Design – and our fashion collection is the ultimate embodiment of this," says Dr. Juergen Gessler, CEO of the Porsche Design Group. "Using full-grained lamb’s leather, which is coated on the inside, the RawTec Blazer is created entirely without lining. As a result, it not only looks unique, but it also offers maximum comfort for the wearer. Since the Porsche Design luxury brand was founded in 1972, we have received over 140 national and international design awards. We are particularly delighted about the latest addition to our collection, since it confirms that we are definitely on the right path with our as yet fledgling fashion collection."

Cameron Diaz, welcomed on stage by thunderous applause on the Rhine river banks as she proudly displayed the new Link Lady. With her unorthodox body of work challenging every principle in the making of a star, Cameron Diaz is dangerously more than just a sexy blonde. Her partnership with TAG Heuer was therefore a given.

“I am thrilled to be here in Switzerland to be a part of the launch of the Link Lady” said Cameron Diaz. “Throughout my career, I have been very selective about aligning myself with brands. I love the fact that TAG Heuer challenges the rules and thinks outside the box and I’m honoured to be associated with such an iconic and forward-thinking brand”.

Cameron joins the highly exclusive circle of TAG Heuer Ambassadors: alongside Maria Sharapova, she will champion timepieces dedicated to women, whilst Leonardo DiCaprio, who needs no further introduction, with Formula 1 World Champions Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, Chen Dao Ming in China and Shah Rukh Khan in India, will support the models for men. Worthy heirs of Steve McQueen, they all have the ability to defy the rules and defy conventions, to fight for a cause and challenge their own values and assumptions.

Ms. Diaz’s partnership with TAG Heuer will also serve to benefit and raise awareness for programs that empower women, including UN Women.

One of the world’s premiere denim brands, 7 For all Mankind unveils its new Spring Summer 2012 marketing campaign – born from an art film imagined and created by James Franco.

An innovative multimedia experience this unorthodox campaign depicts the story of a hedonistic house party that takes place on a warm December weekend in Malibu. Evoking the causal California lifestyle interspersed with fashion and sexuality, the resulting imagery and film reflects the brand’s ‘forever cool’ aesthetics.

The campaign featuring a cast of actors, artists, models and musicians like Lily Donaldson, Henry Hooper and Amber Anderson is directed and photographed by Hollywood Actor James Franco, who shot an advertisement campaign for very first time. About this experience behind-the-camera, James says, “Working with 7 For All Mankind was an amazing experience. I was able to work in ways that were similar to what I do in the film world but in this case we had a tremendous amount of freedom. We were liberated from the conventional film apparatus and were able to create something both classic and new.”

Chanel withdraw CuffsChanel counterfeits are often seen across the world being sold like pancakes but vice versa is quite hard to digest. But, much to the surprise of all and sundry, the perennial fashion knock off episode lately pierced the glittering walls of Chanel.

It was the chunky crystal cuffs by Chanel in its crystal themed larger-than-life Autumn Winter 2012 showcasing which bagged enough applause for their uniqueness but later it was found that the range of accessories was remarkably similar to those by New York based Jewellery Designer Pamela Love.

Consequently, though unusually, Chanel withdrew it’s much talked about crystal cuffs with a grace out of respect for the concerns raised. And the French luxury house later decided to not offer the cuffs for sale as part of its Autumn Winter 2012 collection.
