In one-of-its-kind lingerie advertisement campaign, Dutch department store Hema relied upon male prowess to model its latest push-up bras.

Unlike big glossy advertisements highlighting voluptuous female bodies, the label came up with 20-something star model Andrej Pejic. Having modeled for all big names of fashion Andrej has been portrayed as a woman wearing the concerned mega push up bra under a dress – not to miss that seductive lip shade.

Actually the unlikely choice in the form of Andrej is all about accentuating the claim that the talked about bra can boost one’s bust by ‘2 cups extra’ – referring to the flat chest of the model which seems bit protruded in the campaign pictures going viral since its launch two days back.

Designer Deepika Govind with an attempt to create eco- friendly garments and to shore up the spirit of non-violence has brought in the ‘Eri’ effect in her new range of collection titled, The Eri Sarees.

Eri, which is also termed as endi or errandi stands for Ahimsa which signifies non-violence. The most amazing fact about the fabric is that it remains warm in winter and cool in summer naturally because of its thermal properties. Her assortments implied in Eri fetches a natural glow without the usage of any added adornments. The fineness of vegetable tints is portrayed in the collection.

The collection speaks about a path which can be attained without uttering a word. It relates to the crowd who are sensitive and insightful in terms of the milieu and the people they reside with. In a better term the collection can be exemplified as an approach for a new world with better acuity.

About her latest collection, Deepika says “While my quest is to find a silk that does no harm to any life form finally found an answer, a challenging task lay ahead – to turn a naturally coarse and rugged silk into a supple and soft fabric of international quality and functionality.”

He has even been a part of the Supermax show for Vikram Phadnis in Dubai and Manish Arora for Audi cars. In a brief conversation with fashionfad.in, Sahil reveals a profound aspect regarding his interests and accomplishments.

Tell us something about your home?
I’m from Jammu and Kashmir and I was based in Delhi for my education. It was simply perfect!!! :) My family consists of the most amazing set of people, my mum is a stunning homemaker and my dad is an inspector general of police.

Tell us briefly about your academics?
I was in Apeejay, Sheikhsarai for my schooling and did my degree from Punjab University. Oh yeah, I’m an engineer (a software engineer)!!

So how has been your voyage so far?
It’s been perfect!!! I’ve no complaints..!! I’ve never looked back since the time I started modeling..!!!

What is your parent’s perception on you choosing modeling as a career?
They simply love it since I’m excelling in the field I’m passionate about.

What did you yearn to become as a kid?
I wanted to be a doctor when I was a kid… now please don’t ask me why, because for some strange reason, even I don’t know where this doctor bit came from. Lol…

What all assignments have you been a part of?
I’ve been a face of almost 35-40 biggest campaigns in the country which includes Reebok, Grasim Suiting’s, designer Manish Arora’s fish fry collection, Designer Gaurav Gupta’s collection, Manish Arora for Audi cars, Westside, Pantaloons, Radisson Hotels, Mc Donald’s, Orbit gum’s 12th man campaign for IPL, TV commercials for Samsung laptops, Idea cellular, Corolla altis, McDowell’s, Tata Docomo, BSNL, Airtel, Tata Indicom, Loop mobiles, Samsung and Axis bank along with various others.

Apart from this I have even appeared for Canali and the Just Cavalli showing.  I have walked the ramp for Manav Gangwani in India Couture Fashion Week and for Ashish S Soni, Varun Sardana, and Jenjum N Jasleen along with many other pinnacled designers at the Wills India Fashion Week ………

What’s your take on the modeling industry? Are drug abuse and suicides as predominant as depicted by the media?
It’s a little over hyped but it surely exists… I know so many people who are not high on life… but are always high on substances! My tip- BE HIGH ON LIFE! :)

How has the industry evolved in all these years?
Massively….. It’s extremely professional now….. With some amazingly talented people around!

Rapid Fire

Favorite Sport– Cricket.

Favorite Hangout– Watching movies with my set of people.

Favorite Music– Sufi music, a bit of bollywood, hip-hop and trance…

Favorite Model– Tyra banks, Milind Soman.

Your biggest Obsession– My house in Bombay. I am obsessed with it… Everything needs to be perfect here at my place… And that’s a rule!!!

Are you a Brand Conscious?  Not at all…… I have my favorite brands though…

What is your greatest fear?
My greatest fear is losing my loved ones!!

What do you enjoy the most apart from modeling?
Honestly, swimming is something I simply love! I can just be in the pool forever… And I swim quite a lot in my free time. I even enjoy reading, sometimes!!

What are your aversions?
Nothing in particular… But I hate being surrounded by absolutely fake people..!!! I like positivism…!! :)

What’s your view point on the increasing number of fashion weeks in India?
It works for some and it doesn’t work for some others!!… I am neutral about it considering more fashion week’s means more business and more interesting work and I genuinely feel that having scores of fashion weeks is in a way good because so many new designers get to showcase their collections considering there is so much space for every talented designer now and thereby, models receive more bookings!!!

Difference between the Indian and the western models? Who is a more idyllic choice internationally and why?
I don’t know the difference… really! I think every model has his/her individual positive and negative points. So, all are unique in their own terms..!!! I don’t believe in distinguishing and making two sets of models called the Indian and the western models. There could be a case where an Indian model is extremely punctual and the western model isn’t or vice-versa. So, it varies! Again, an idyllic choice internationally can be anyone belonging to any part of the world….  an enhanced performer always coerces the first attention…….. Simple!!! :)

Fashion for you….. Fashion is fun..!!! Just have fun with it..!!! Dress as per your mood …as per your body frame… set your own trends… decide the look you feel comfortable in and sport it and then, see the impact… :)
