The sizzling and sultry, Charlotte Lohmann hails from the land of beer, Australia and it reflects in her love for beer and life. This laid back pouting self explorer is a musician by soul who has this volition to travel around the world under highs of buzzing strings and echoing melodies. Having swaggered for the likes of Chanel, Diane Von Furstenburg and Louis Vuitton, Charlotte sexed up the recently shot Kingfisher Swimsuit Special 2011 with her Helen-esque looks.

Here is tete-e-tete with captivating Charlotte Lohmann singing her story loud.

Tell us something about your experience at the latest Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar 2011?
It was an amazing experience, best job I’ve done so far. I gelled up well and had a bang with the girls on the breath taking beaches of Mauritius.

So have you ever been to India before?
I actually have not been to India yet, hopefully I will be there in December for the launch of the calendar. I am dying to go.

Tell us briefly about your formative years and academics?
I finished high school 2 years back and am just traveling and modeling at the moment. I do intend to study possibly nutrition but for now I am embracing my lucky opportunity.

How modeling happened to you? How it changed your life?
I was in a model search held in Australia when I was 14 and I was a finalist and got in with my Australian agency but I didn’t officially start till I was 16 and a half.

So you always wanted to be a model? If you had not been a model what else would you have been?
I am a musician, music is my passion so to this day. I have this aspiration to be a successful singer or a piano player one day.

Which designers have you worked with? Whom do you find appealing your aesthetic senses most?
I have worked for several different designers, too many to name but my biggest achievements are Chanel, Diane Von Furstenburg, Louis Vuitton, Bloomingdales, Vogue, Bazaar etc.

What’s your success mantra in this glamourous cut throat competitive industry where every other girl dreams to get in?
Have a back up plan, keep friends and family close and don’t take it too seriously.

Modeling comes with a short shelf life so where do you see yourself 10 years down the line?
With a degree in nutrition possibly, own a clinic or ideally in a band, touring the world

What’s your take on drug abuse and suicides which we can say are so dominant in the modeling industry?
I think drug abuse is something with have to accept as a fact of life in all occupations and I am unaware of suicide prevalence.

How is Charlotte as a person? What does she like to do when not modeling?
I am very laid back, I love festivals, learning, reading, playing, listening and watching music and movies.  I also love being alone.

Which is the most cherished moment in your modeling career?
Ummm….. a special shot that I did for the kingfisher calendar which you will see in the near future!

What’s your beauty and fitness regime?
I don’t have a gym routine but I am very active, love walks, swimming, dancing and I love healthy food. I love face masks but I basically just wash, exfoliate and moisturise my body every day.

What is your idea of an ideal date?
Ummm……. see a live band or chill outside on the beach with takeaway or maybe a party depending on my mood.

What’s your style statement?
Dress the way you feel, draw small things that you like from other people’s wardrobes but always make it your own. I think fashion is about self expression.

With the opening of M2M, a high end boutique that employs master craftsmen who deliver ‘made to measure’ and bespoke suits of the highest quality, Men can now have a suit created for their discerning personality and individuality. M2M houses suit lengths from the most luxurious menswear brand ie Zegna, Cerruti, Scabal, Valentino and Dormeuil-in addition to ethnic designer wear for men.

The signature store will also showcase a collection of ready to wear ethnic garments designed by acclaimed fashion designers, leather accessories like shoes, belts, bags, wallets and fashion jewellery. Customers can sit in a relaxed environment uninhibited by pesky salespeople, browse through the latest fashion magazines and catalogues from the store’s library, seek consultation from an in-house stylist and choose a style that flatters the appearance, accentuates good features and disguises the less good. Kamlesh Ramchandani, CEO, M2M says “A man is not a man until he owns a bespoke suit and we are proud to bring M2M from Dubai to Mumbai".

Our Indian wear is synonymous with elegance be it sarees, lehengas or suits. It is subtle and yet so presentable. But experimentation is the way for new style statements. In Jaya Rathore’s new fusion collection ethnicity is blends with contemporary added with a flavor of little bling-bling.

The latest Fusion collection is what would be the talk of the town. With so many Bridal, Ethnic and Indian collections already prevailing in the market, this comes as a breather for people who have got an experimental streak. This range would complement their style sense and would go with their personality. So why look similar when you have options. Look traditional with a tinge of trendy look. This collection would definitely make you stand out of the crowd. Only for people who beaks monotony.

Jaya Rathore, the designer, shares “the concept behind this collection was that a lot of people used to come up to me that they need a break from all this stuff. There are so many designers and brands offering you the same traditional ethnic wear and the market is over-brimmed with all this. It was becoming monotonous and repetitive. So the customers were expecting some space, something refreshing to their eyes and senses. And that’s how the Fusion collection struck a chord. It is designed on the same Indian pattern but giving it a contemporary look. All the garments are cut out with the same outlook. It is a blend of Indian with Modern – giving it an ultra chic look maintaining its subtlety. Nothing over-board.”

Swarovski puts its name to a cheerful collection where glamorous, elegant and timeless jewellery and home-décor sets are infused with emotion. Radiant crystal has indeed no equivalent to light up festivities.

The “Merry” jewellery set is all about sparkle, with a shower of delicately clustered stars forming the matching necklace and earrings. Just as striking is the “Meringue” pendant, which features a stunning blue crystal centrepiece highlighted by a magnificent graduation of crystal colours set in pavé.

Crystal also adds a delightful touch to decorative pieces designed to create a festive ambience. To perpetuate a tradition initiated in 1991, Swarovski unveils its “Christmas Ornament, Annual Edition”, a precious Limited Edition snowflake. With clean lines that render its facets sublime, this 2010 collectors’ item is a further expression of Swarovski’s unique expertise. Extremely elegant and modern, it will add a touch of style and character to the evergreen Christmas tree.

Swarovski revisits the symbols of Christmas – the snowman, angel and Christmas tree – and light-heartedly interprets them in the form of moving figurines whose facets capture the light magnificently. With their touches of colour, “Rocking Snowman”, “Rocking Angel” and “Rocking Christmas Tree” make fun gifts and decorations.

The Swarovski Christmas collection, rich in poetic overtones, features pieces which make ideal gifts, both to give and to receive.
