Resolutely feminine, utterly effervescent and undeniably sensual. A new elixir for women only, a manifesto for nonchalance…Fuel For Life Unlimited draws its inspiration from those who prefer intoxication to sobriety, the present moment to tomorrow and insolence to submission.

Designed exclusively for these women, Fuel for Life Unlimited shatters the volcanic scale of feminity. A rush of adrenaline at racing speed issues directly from its gushing citrus vapors. Calabria lemon overdosed in freshness and vitamin rich mandarin evoking juicy fruits. Frenetic energy instantly takes possession of the flesh in the very image of simmering muses.A liquid as golden as sun-drenched fruit, promising pure delight.

Fuel For Life Unlimited leaves an impression of omnipresent liquor ice exuding from the head to the heart of the fragrance. Legends in perfumery and rebellious figures of the roaring twenties, tuberose, jasmine and spicy lilies from Casablanca all concentrate their narcotic petals at the heart of this heady elixir. And to intensify the mystery, an aquatic hint of aloe skillfully mixed with wet leaves and aqueous notes blur the floral track, enhancing it with transparency and fluidity.

On being asked what are you hoping to express through the creation of this perfumes formulae, the creator of this new elixir Harry Fremont said, “we wanted to use essence to transcribe this carefree passion, a hedonistic quest, zest for life and an innate sense of revelry. The fragrance thus had to be a distillation of effervescence, freshness, spirit and energy as well as superlative feminity”.
Madhushala is a 135 quatrain verses of four lines by Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan pioneered in the post Chayavad era of Hindi literature. Now Namrita Bachchan has translated the verses into 25 artworks inspired by Madhushala. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, US, Namrita combines her two passions of poetry and art. She uncovered her first solo art show in the Palette Art Gallery Golf Links with the exhibition comprising of all the illustrations made for the centenary edition of the book Madhushala- The house of wine. The book itself brings together the beloved long poem of the same name, with the imagery of his granddaughter Namrita Bachchan. As a trained graphic designer, she has formatted the book to be a bilingual illustrated read, so as to revive the poem to fit today’s essential generation.

The artworks are Namrita’s individual response to the poetry and hence use her own array of saturated symbolism to bring colour to the rhyme. In effect, the book is a creative dialogue between poet grandfather and painter granddaughter. Namrita Bachchan says, “The work is my individual response to Madhushala, I have recreated it in my own style on canvas.”

The paintings are illustrious, decorative reflecting the artist’s personal symbolism with a style that dictates riots of colour, texture, geometric pattern ink, paint and mixed media on canvas. The title of each work comes from a line in the poem. The artwork is priced at Rs 1-2 lakh each. The book, Madhushala: The House of Wine, also on sale at the gallery, comes for Rs 3,500. It has the poem in Hindi along with English translation by Marjorie Boulton and Ram Swaroop Vyas. It is interspersed with Namrita’s illustrations and has a foreword by Amitabh Bachchan.
