At the recently concluded London Fashion Week SS18, a full day was dedicated to Indian designers at prestigious Fashion Scout on 19th September 2017. 32 young designers including 24 INIFD-LST student designers showcased during the INDIA Day organised by Inter National Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) and London School of Trends (LST) in collaboration with Fashion Scout London.

Designer PriyankaKhosla presented her collection “MalMalTadka” at the Inaugural show which highlights the relevance of Traditional Indian Fabrics –MalMal and Khadi for the Global Market.MalmalTadka is an Indian Fusion Festive brand with a modern interpretation of a vintage aesthetic. Inspired from the wholesome and untouched nature of art and craft that is created during one’s childhood and to bring these to life priyanka used techniques like thread-work, gota, appliqués and mirror-work; preserving the innate Indian taste, supporting Indian artisans, the backbone of Indian craftsmanship presenting quirky craft motifs such as ‘Innocent Garden,’ ‘Gota Garden,’ ‘Doll-Face,’ in most popular Indian fabrics like khadi, cotton, chanderi in cohesion with malmal.

While Masaba Gupta presented the Grand Finale of India Day, unveiling her latest collection “Nosy Be”. Seldom explored, the beautiful island Nosy Be serves as the inspiration for her collection. Modest yet ethereal, the colourful and opulent collection showcased the essence of India’s diverse mix through its curated silhouettes that speak about personalities & ideologies in ancient warli paintings in prints.

As we bring you with our besties from day 3, 4 and 5. Donatella Versace finale show was a trubute to her brother Gianni, presenting looks inspired by some of his signature prints and motifs from the archives whilst reworked, in the form of power suitings, catsuits, mini sheaths and bold separates.

The show ended with glamzons like Naomi Campbell, Carla Bruni, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer and Helena Christensen on the catwalk in stunning renditions of Metal Mesh.

Giorgio Armani, collection was vibrant, featuring plenty of prints, textures, shapes and details. Even the colour palette spanned a wide spectrum, ranging from jewel tones and pastel hues to monochromatic combinations, sometimes with a metallic touch.

Roberto Cavalli SS18 collection was contemporary yet femininein two-toned dresses, minimal designs, pastels a plenty, monochrome leather. Over the time, you think of Cavalli it’s animal print, and this time around it was there too but Paul Surridge reworked it, across clean silhouettes and sharp cuts.

Salvatore Ferragamo wrapped up the fourth day with Fulvio Rigoni, director for Ferragamo’s women’s ready to wear, showcasing in a lawn under the stars, in front of Palazzo Mezzanotte, stock exchange.

The collection had it all from long floaty dresses, asymmetrical skirts, flared trousers and pencil designs in emerald green, deep purple and geranium pink.Models wore snake skin patterns with matching vests or skirts under silk ruffled shirts, laser cut short cocktail coats over high boots, A-line dresses and panelled satin tops and dresses with plunging backlines.

Excitement was high in Madrid, Spain’s Callao Square where Rihanna surprised fans with an unbelievable brand experience, as she continues to celebrate the launch of her new Fenty Beauty brand.
Rihanna arrived at Plaza Callao showing off yet another iconic makeup look done by Fenty Beauty Global Artist, Hector Espina. Madrid was the 4th stop on this Fenty Beauty tour after New York, London and Paris.

The event was a totally immersive and engaging experience for guests and fans both inside the Cinema and out on Plaza Callao as they received personalized Fenty Face makeup consultations from her global artistry team including Priscilla Ono (Global Artist) and James Kaliardos (Resident Artist). Fenty Beauty products, including Gloss Bomb, Match Stix.

Whilst Killawatt Freestyle Highlighters, brought to life in different production-like ‘sets’ that created fun brand moments for the guests which included Cindy Kimberly, Sweet California, Marta Nieto, Palomo Spain, Martiño Rivas, Adriana Boho, Angy Fernández, Lulu Figueroa, Gigi Vives, Natalia de Molina, Adriana Abenia, Vanessa Romero, Maya Hansen y Ana Locking amongst others.

Couture creator Shehla Khan unveiled her Winter/Festive collection “Belle époque ” in association with Reliance Jewels at India International Jewellery Week (IIJW).

The collection ‘Belle Époque’ draws inspiration from the rich history of France’s fashion era between 1895 – 1914 that served as an epoch of beautiful ensembles exuding luxury living. The collection is a mature yet classic and a luxe interpretation of festive wear.

“Belle Époque is for the Avant-garde bride. My collection caters to the modern and bold woman who believes in experimenting and wants a switch from the regular norms of fashion. The collection is histrionic with bold silhouettes, with focus given to fabric detailing rather than embroidery. Tommy Hilfiger’s, TOMMYNOW “ROCKCIRCUS”, the brand’s third in-season immediately shoppable runway show, closed London Fashion Week at the Roundhouse, an iconic concert venue at the centre of London’s rock history.
