“Geography of Soltitude: In between spaces” by artist Siddhartha Tawadey presents an alternative interpretation of the urban society of London. Based on personal encounters as a resident the multi media show is a combination of photographic diptychs , experimental films and image illustrations which depicts the social narrative of London. Working within the cracks of the city constructs , spaces that foster reflection , spaces which have no name , these spaces are the “in between spaces”.

Realism forms the overriding priority in the work . The images depict societal concerns that takes precedence over classical aesthetics. The work acts as a precursor of thinking beyond narratives of origin and initial subjectivities , and to focus on moments that are produced in the expression of a culture through its visual imagery.
