Prolific artist Owais Husain presents a solo show titled "3 Worlds" in Mumbai, curated by Kalpana Shah from 6th to 26thAugust 2010 across all three spaces of Tao Art Gallery, Mumbai.
A Preview was hosted by Kalpana Shah of Tao Art Gallery and Ashvin Gidwani for Owais Husain. Guests walked into the main gallery where the "The Heart" sub show was on display and then made their way to dark room display of "The Spirit" at the lower level and then to the next building to view the "The Mind" sub show.
Guests presents included directors like Shaad Ali, Apurva Lakhia and Bunty Walia; Pooja Bedi, Aarti & Kailash Surendranath, Nawaz Singhania, Parvez Damania, Akbar Padamsee, Farhan Furniturewala, Laila Khan, Kahini Arte Merchant, Talat Aziz, Henry Tham, Ranjeet Shahani, Lavesh Jagasia, Jaideep & Seema Mehrohtra and Bakul Patel amongst many more friends , family members and well wishers.
Owais Husain who has not only inherited his father’s artistic genes but also has a unique and classy style of expressing his artistic senses and ability to find inner beauty in the most mundane and normal objects. The core of the show revolves around the fact that every human being is a story teller and narrates stories either through their work or to their children or to any other person. Every painter is a cartographer of his or her time. Charting the directions of the current human imagination/ spirit, this exhibition is a multi dimensional endeavor, however humble, towards this goal.
