Ghanasingh wins best ring design of the year

Fine jewellery label Ghanasingh Be True, is the proud winner for the “Best Ring Design of the Year” at the Jaipur Jewellery Show- IJ Jewellers Choice Design Awards 2015

The piece which was awarded, from their Limited Edition Collection called “Birds of Paradise” was an innovative form of a multiple finger ring with two birds encrusted with fuchsia pink Tourmalines, brilliant diamonds, brown rose cuts and blue tanzanites.

The brand has recently been proud winners of the ‘Amazon Shoppers Choice Colour Gemstone Jewellery of The Year Award’ at the Oscars of the jewellery industry “Retail Jeweller India Award 2015”. The label has won various awards including: Best Couture Jewellery Award, GJTCI Excellence Award for Bridal Jewellery, IJ Design Award of the Year for Theme Based Jewellery to name a few.

Bulgari set to open biggest jewelry factory

Bulgari is set to focus on its jewelry production by building the largest manufacturing site in Europe.The new premises in Valenza, Italy, are due to open in the second half of 2016 and will increase the LVMH luxury label’s production capacity.

The structure, which is being designed by architectural firm Open Project, will be constructed using materials with a low environmental impact, and will aim to achieve LEED certification. It will consist of two buildings with markedly different architectural styles straddling innovation and tradition.

1Soon after Miss Colombia was mistakenly named as Miss Universe, it became Twitter’s biggest trend, as social media users expressed their disbelief. Ariadna Gutierrez Arevalo from Colombia had already been crowned and was excepting cheers from the audience when host Steve Harvey returned to announce the error saying I have to apologies, the first runner-up is Colombia. Miss Universe 2015 is Philippines!

Steve Harvey further added, it was “his mistake” and he would take responsibility for not reading the winning card correctly. Elegantly dressed Pia appeared shocked as former Miss Universe Colombia removed the crown from Miss Colombia and presented it to Miss Philippines instead.

Later he made another mistake when he misspelled both Colombia and the Philippines in an initial tweet. The tweet was later deleted.

“I’d like to apologize wholeheartedly to Miss Colombia & Miss Philippines for my huge mistake. I feel terrible,” he tweeted in a second attempt. The message was re-tweeted more than 70,000 times.

The competition started with women representing 80 countries between the ages of 19 and 27. For the first time, viewers at home weighed in, with their votes being tallied in addition to four in-person celebrity judges.

The menswear final of the 2015/16 International Woolmark Prize will be judged on 13 January 2016 in Florence, Italy, during Pitti Uomo, marked by a special runway presentation of the six finalists’ capsule collections in Merino wool. British Polo Day 2015

430British Polo Day – presented by Royal Salute marked its fifth event with a preceding itinerary in Jaipur, where The British Army and Jaipur Polo Team played an inaugural match on 12th December. His Highness The Maharaja Gaj Singh II of Marwar-Jodhpur personally hosted the likes of His Highness Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh, Maharaj Narendra Singh, Colonel Umaid Singh, The 13th Duke of Argyll, Helen Bromovsky, The Honorable Geraldine Harmsworth, Satindar Garcha, Ron Wahid, Vinod Kumar, Marc de Panafieu and Princess Alexandra Cantacuzene Count Speransky, for a three-day celebration of sport and creativity.

In the heart of ‘the blue city’, some of the most notable polo players from the two nations took to the field for three days of fast-paced polo.  The British Army took on home side The President’s Bodyguard in the opening Jaeger-LeCoultre Umaid Bahwan Palace Cup, followed by the closely-fought Jodhpur versus Mundota Fort & Palace, Jaipur in the Royal Salute Marwar Trophy and, on the final day, the hotly-anticipated Eton versus Mayo: the The RJI Capital Yuvraj Shivraj Singh of Jodhpur Plate. Players also saddled up for two quintessential games of Brompton bike polo, as the Hackett British Exiles took on Umaid Bhawan Palace Jodhpur, the latter winning 4-2 whereas the Harrods Cavalry were beaten 3-2 by the Jaeger-LeCoultre Guards, whilst guests delighted in having their caricatures taken in the Harrods Garden Party.

Breitling’s new smart watch is highest horological piece from new-age technology, the Exospace B55, to be launched early next year, is aimed for pilots. Developed, assembled, finished and tested entirely in Switzerland, the timepiece is a multi-function electronic chronograph that receives notifications of the smartphone’s incoming emails, messages (SMS, WhatsApp) or phone calls (with the caller’s name or number) as well as reminders of upcoming appointments, all via two LCD screens.

Givenchy Spring 2016: is all about love

Givenchy’s spring 2016 campaign, by creative director Riccardo Tisci, stars 27 models, including catwalk veterans Miranda Kerr, Lara Stone, Candice Swanepoel, Natalia Vodianova and Joan Smalls, as well as rising runway stars Lexi Boling, Imaan Hammam, Greta Varlese and Lineisy Montero, is photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, and was shot in lower Manhattan.

The ads are accompanied by a short poem, written by Anohni (otherwise known as Antony Hegarty of the band Antony and the Johnsons), that reads: “I am a child on the river, and love waits downstream: a waterfall to steal my breath and change my mind.”

Tisci hopes his latest ads will help spread a sense of love and hope.
