200 itThe early years of the luxury French fashion house Dior has been gracefully penned down in a book titled ‘Monsieur Dior il était une fois’ by the British journalist Natasha Fraser-Cavassoni.

The book is an effective presentation of the brand’s history between the years 1947 and 1957. In ’47, designer Christian Dior was the one responsible for revolutionising the fashion world by introducing some new feminine looks that were in great contrast to the post world war era. Until her passing away 10 years later, the designer made unprecedented efforts to come up with novelties and innovations with every progressing day.New-book-234-1

Over the years, from the great actresses of the time, iconic models such as Bettina, to loyal customers and the workshop assistants, the luxurious and inimitable world of the House of Christian Dior have been an inspiration to an uncountable number of fashionistas.

For an effective representation of the same, journalist Natasha Fraser-Cavassoni underwent a detailed research program wherein she revisited the early years of the French fashion house with first-hand accounts, archived documents and uncovering over 150 unseen images.

Hitting the stands on 15th October, the book is surely going to be a delight!
