Premieres: 71st Venice Film Festival - Jaeger-LeCoultre CollectionThe 71st edition of the Venice international Film Festival kicked off on 27th August to welcome Hollywood’s glitterati in the most mesmerising looks.

Directed by Alberto Barbera, the event began with the screening Alejandro González’s ‘Birdman’, wherein actress Emma Stone was the first person to arrive on the red carpet. Dressed in a stunning black Valentino couture gown, the actress looked beautiful as ever.

Following came in Alessandra Ambrosio in an exotic floral Alberta Ferretti gown and luscious Chopard jewellery. Kirsten Dunst, on the other hand tried to keep it cool by wearing a casual fiery red Miu Miu dress. Emanuela Postacchini contrastingly, came dressed in an elegant golden embroidered gown. She displayed what in the right sense is known as glamour and oomph.

Besides, Bianca Balti, Liya Kebed, Constance Jablonski, Edward Northon, Owen Wilson, Sandra Ng, director Peter Ho-sun Chan and many others were spotted exhibiting exuberance and magnificence during the highly coveted Venice Film Festival.

A graduate from Sophia Polytechnic Institute in Mumbai, the designer possesses the unique expertise in styling, designing and haute couture. Having curated her namesake label, the designer has come a long way and is famed for her bold, quirky and magnificent creations.

Speaking of her earlier years in the fashion arena, Kristy worked as the Head of Fashion Stylist for three and a half years in Viacom 18 Media. Thereafter, she worked rigorously as a stylist for numerous commercials, television shows, brands etc. Her career profile also includes the glitz and glamour of Bollywood, where celebrities like Malaika Arora Khan, Vidya Balan and Farhan Akhtar have been seen attired in her creations.

The designer vastly stands out in the crowd because of the additional drama that she adds to every single of her creation. Keeping the silhouettes widely structured, Kristy effectively displays her fondness towards natural fabrics like raw silk.

Meanwhile, she recently marked the grand milestone of her life by showcasing her collection at the recently concluded Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2014, under the gen-next category. With the opportunity to exhibit among a wider audience, Kristy was also graced to compete among the top fashion designers of the country.

The collections however, will be focussed exclusively on Japanese consumers, including some novel and unique styles and colours that are not available in other markets. Also, the exclusive leather shoes, loafers, boots etc. that store will feature are going to be prized at affordable rates. This serves to be one of the major highlights of Staccato.

580Meanwhile, two boutiques in Tokyo and one in Nagoya are scheduled to open next month. Within the next five years, 500 Staccato stores all across Japan will be opened, reports Hiroyuki Murai, representative director and chief executive officer of Baroque.
