The Italian luxury brand, Fendi is set to team up with French eyewear designer Thierry Lasry for SS15 sunglasses capsule collection. This is Fendi’s first such venture and the first time Lasry collaborates with a luxury brand. The capsule will be produced by Safilo, Fendi’s eyewear licensee.

Sharing the same values and tradition with the designer, this innovative partnership is sure to bring further dynamism and vibration to the brand. The collection features fusion of vintage inspirations with latest, contemporary and avant-gardist touch.  Lasry has formed a signature look without the use of any visible logo and maintaining the creativity. The collection will start from January 2014 and will be available around the globe.

Robert De Niro, legendary American actor, director and producer along with his daughter during his visit to India had some thoughtfully designed surprises as welcome amenities at the leading Taj Mahal hotel of Delhi.

The toniest stretch of Boulevard des Capucines and a hot Paris night spot were ablaze with paparazzi flash Tuesday night as a host of celebrities from around the world joined TAG Heuer CEO Stéphane Linder Tuesday night at the most star-packed party of the Paris season, with actors, singers, fashion editors, politicians, the brand’s star ambassador, the actor and environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio, and the biggest names in motor racing among the guests.

One of the most extraordinary moments of the evening was the sight of the well-heeled revelers, which included Sebastien Ogier and Romain Grosjean, moving en masse around the corner to the after-party at Pavillon Vendôme, where celebrities Emma De Caunes, Noémie Lenoir, Michel Denisot… and DJ Cecile Togni spun platters till the wee hours.     With three prestige destinations in Paris and new flagships set to open in London, Milan, Madrid, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Macau, Singapore and Beijing, TAG Heuer is indeed on a roll.

Gaurav Gupta venture into the sphere of prêt Indian wear christen New Vintage, for the first time, with a line of sarees, kurta sets, dresses and tops, retaining the essence of the brand’s quintessential nature. The designer duo has showcased at various famous platforms like Lakme Fashion Week and India International Jewellery Week. In short period of time of their designs have earned clienteles like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Deepika Padukone, Kajol, Juhi Chawla, Amrita Rao and Huma Qureshi to name a few.

Their creations are currently retailing from their Amara, Hue-Nariman and the Dreesing Room in Mumbai and Kimaya all over India. Internationally their designs are available at Style Mart in Singapore. Sonam and Paras also have their flagship store in Mumbai.

 

On Sunday, November 17th, 2013, amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, will present its inaugural fundraising gala in Mumbai. The event will take place at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai, and will be hosted by Sharon Stone and the India select co-chairs, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan.

Adding a bonus dose of glamour to the night, amfAR India will feature an Indian edition of the Gold Fashion show presenting the work of India’s unbeatable trio of design – Abu Jani – Sandeep Khosla, Tarun Tahiliani and Rohit Bal.

amfAR Chairman Kenneth Cole, Anuj Gupta, and Rocky Malhotra will be amongst the special guests attending the event which will include a black-tie dinner and auction and will be similar to amfAR’s black tie galas that take place all over the world.  A host of Indian celebrities, industrialists and a who’s who are expected to attend to make this inaugural amfAR event an annual fixture on the socialite calendar.

 

IMG Fashion has recently shared its plans to outsource production of its Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week events in New York and Miami. According to the new plan IMG’s longtime partner Laurie DeJong and her firm LDJ Production will look after the fashion show’s production related responsibilities and planning.

The production outsourcing will result with the parting of executive producer Christina Neault, senior producer Jason Brandt and production manager Heather Stamm from the company. Also the global director Jarrad Clark will become company’s vice president and Taryn O’Meara will help through the transition. The outsourcing will also support internal production team of IMG for the events such as the WGSN Global Fashion Awards, IHT Luxury Conference, and Fashion Fringe in London.
