Pebbled by Malaga is enthused by a rich treasure trove of semi precious stones and fine leathers. The natural feel of the leathers provides the perfect backdrop for the Latin American inspired collection.

The look and colours of the gemstones, set in carefully selected combinations on each bag, allow you to explore the fun side of elegance. They are combined in various combinations and set on metal frames, the resulting effect is a set of finished pebbled glamour that can highlight any outfit or lend the finishing touch to any ensemble.

The stoic machines getting designer emotions are worth a few good drools and such a marriage of aesthetics and mechanism was witnessed of late when Ford India unveiled its new limited edition Figo in association with designer duo Shantanu & Nikhil in New Delhi.

On the occasion of third anniversary of the model, the American multinational automaker announced a limited Figo ‘Celebration Edition’, sporting enhanced features, a special decal and signature badging, co-created by Figo owners and ace fashion designer duo Shantanu & Nikhil.

The association sees Shantanu & Nikhil’s contemporary edgy design philosophy merging perfectly with Figo’s kinetic dynamism as the model’s bold and dynamic lines coupled with full surfaces sets the inspiration for the stylish decal design. The car’s imposing muscular stance has culminated into the decal design being a graphic interpretation of
energy in motion.

At the upcoming Wills Lifestyle India Fashion week Autumn-Winter 2013, designer Sanchita Ajjampur, will be showcasing both Womenswear and Menswear collection on 16th of March 2013.

Her Womenswear Autumn-Winter 2013 is an imaginary New World inspired by the Panchatantra Tales, where bejewelled monkeys, exotic flora and fauna are painted in a fantastic colour palette to accentuate the surrealistic quality of the collection.

Unconventional hand-painted florals from Indian mythology create a refined femininity, with contrast of strong crystal edges adds a new three dimensionality to the luxe printed duchesse, satins and gossamer fabrics.

Sleek male grooming with a cultural and historical twist is Sanchita’s Mens this season.Camouflage prints in aviator and metallic shades imbue unexpected fabrics with a militant sensibility, subverting the traditional print through embellishment that mixes Indian military, mythology and textures to create the ultimate urban warrior.

At the upcoming Summer Resort 2013 edition of Lakme Fashion Week things ‘Swadeshi’ will hit the glittery runways as designer Shruti Sancheti will be presenting a collection inspired by the famous Swadeshi Movement of India’s Independence struggle.

The collection that is aimed at reviving handlooms and introducing this exquisite art to the new generation with a contemporary twist features layered asymmetrical silhouettes with imperial conservativeness and an Indian soul. The color palette varies from unbleached white to canary yellow, jade green, fresh red and poppy blue with pastel and muted colored stripes and checks.
The base fabric is finely woven cotton with 100 thread count to impart drapebality and sheen to the fabric and use of checks and stripes in English colors depicts the colonial mentality of the period. Surface ornamentation is a confluence of the east and the west with the Kantha being the dominant factor.
