It’s the tacit charm of the fashion world which embraced Sahar Atif at a very tender age, and thereafter started her dalliance with fabrics and needles, and all imbued she embarked upon the journey to design dreams for women.

A name synonymous with tradition and modernism, blended together finely, is a graduate from Pakistan Institute of Fashion Designing, known to produce crème de la crème in the country. Grabbing the elementary fashion training in the country, Sahar went off to United States to pursue a degree in Fashion Marketing, a course which hadn’t been explored locally, to only return back and introduce the course in Pakistan. Moreover, she is also credited for setting up the department of ‘Design and Textile’ in collaboration with Cambridge University at the Lahore Grammar School.

Having established herself in the fashion academic circle Sahar then channeled her creativity into bringing about her own label, ‘Saai’ in 2003, focusing mainly on bridal, formal and pret women’s wear. Heading with the design philosophy of fusing cultural myriad of fashion influences to give it a distinctive modern edge, she happened to showcase her bridal collection at the coveted ‘Bridal Asia’ in New Delhi in 2007, getting rave reviews for her elaborate and unique sense of style.

Adding further variety to her repertoire, Sahar introduced a ready to wear line in the spring of 2008 meant to encourage the revival of craft and empowerment of marginalized rural women in Pakistan which made her to showcase in Europe as a part of the cultural program between European Union and Pakistan.
