The British Fashion council announces Christopher Raeburn, Christopher Shannon, E. Tautz, Lou Dalton and Richard Nicoll as its shortlisted designers for its Designer Men’s Wear Fund. According to Dylan Jones, Editor of British GQ and Chair of London Collections, these designers are abundant in creativity and possess a keen business sense.

Following their selection, the shortlisted designers will participate in a mentoring programme developed by the BFC over the next two months, where industry experts will provide guidance on topics including branding, leadership, commercial retail, e-tail and wholesale and digital innovation.

An extension to the level of business support to men’s wear this year, the fund is co-supported by Vertu, the leading luxury mobile manufacturer. The winning designer will be credible to win a high level mentoring support programme over a twelve month period, as well as a £150,000 grant to provide necessary infrastructure to take them to the next stage in their business and £50,000 value in kind services.
