Lately, unconventional and retro silhouettes with a cool quotient, subjectively the sneaker trend has dominated the tastes of people.
Styles which catches the eye, are made popular by social media, considering the latest ugly launches, like the ones by Balenciaga Triple S, adidas Originals x Raf Simons or Yeezy.
Unfortunately, no sooner they are launched, you would find every influencer wearing the trend, whatever it is, losing its charm, especially since the chunky look is more for edgy dressers or stylists.
But despite their slightly unconventional silhouette, the sneakers have become one of the most-worn shoes at international Fashion Weeks.The rich and famous who wear them, is intentionally to attract eye balls, or to say, an unattractive way to say, “Look at me.”
Another style making rounds is sock sneakers, they come in white and black with knit exterior that reaches above the ankle for a snug, foot-hugging fit, with a white sole. The knitted sock sneaker look has since been adopted by Nike, Zara, and Free People.
Brands that are following suit with their own sneaker renditions, such as Gucci and Dior have included chunky sneakers in their collections.
