    Carrying on the PATINE tradition of translating regional crafts and embroidery traditions into daily wear, Shon’s SS’18 RTW collection has contemporary silhouettes with an interplay of Chikankari interspersed with Bengali Kantha embroidery motifs.

    Kantha, an ancient craft evolved through millennia, evokes mythological allusions of its origins. This craft and its embroideries express the ingenuity of the women of Bengal, taking discarded rags and breathing new life in Ivory, Taupe, Khaki, Nude, Adriatic Blue, Ebony palette.

    Through the skill of their women, resourcefulness of their hands and the power of their imagination, these tapestries and its motifs reflects the vivid history and legacy of Bengal, Hand loomed Cotton, Egyptian Cotton, Silk Chiffon, Silk Georgette, Silk Tulle and Lace trims fabrics.

    Chakras of energy, mother earth and her creatures have served as an inspiration for Patine SS18 RTW collection Mélange which had Wraps, Day dresses & Bikers Jacket, Taupe & Khaki Trucker Jackets pared wide leg trousers.
