Ever wondered how a Greek Goddess would have dressed had she stepped onto the planet in this era? Shantanu & Nikhil’s Fall Collection 2016 answered that question. Taking inspiration from the ancient Greek women, the designer duo endeavoured to showcase the journey of the woman of today.

She’s seen it all, she’s stood through it all and she stands tall. She’s strong, she’s graceful. She is no less than a Greek Goddess.

With dry roots hanging from corners, the ramp looked like the remains of a battleground. The collection started with gowns in pristine white. Accessorized with shrugs, dark slim belts, capes and feminine drapes, the Greek Inspiration was obvious from the very beginning.

The colour palette used also seemed to have a storyboard. The collection had a smooth shift from lighter hues to darker. White, beige and red were heavily seen in their entire collection Drapes, sheath, a-line, ruffles and an occasional trail, the collection played silhouettes that exuded grace. Elegant and minimalist, the collection seemed a perfect fit for a modern day couture wearer.
