    Review

Shalini James showcased a collage of textiles from across the country through her collection.

The silhouettes were fitted yet loose sometimes. She used print from Jaipur and Kalamkari and gave lots of detailing to her designs. She used cotton as primary fabric. The color pallet included hues like Rani, Gulabi, Rama, Gajari, Phirozi, Kohl, Krishna, Neel, Jamuni and others. The collection was dominated by Indian crafts and embroideries like ari embroidery, traditional buttis and jal designs.

There luxurious skirts, anarkalis, angarkhas, blouses, palazzos sari and skirt in beautiful textures. Blouses came with bold cut-outs. Showstopper makeup artist, Ambika Pillai walked wearing donning black ensemble with a long jacket.
