Dhruv Kapur at Lakme Fashion Week S/R 2015

    Review

In an effort to liberate women, Dhruv Kapur introduced bold de-constructed looks with his collection. The collection had straight and structured cut-outs and cleverly placed zips on fabrics like smooth cotton poplin, cotton-silk blend, silk satin, silk chiffon and lightweight wool voile. The colors that complemented the theme were white, cream, black, and soft peach in some accents. Perfectly matching to the theme were a deconstructed jacket teamed with white will-power dress, gown with cut-outs and zip detailing on the sides and the black halter dress with a draped back. Modified suits and shirt gave the whole range of clothing a new fashionable look. Texture made from basket weave of silk satin strip made the ensembles come alive. The features of the designs that stood out were the zip detailing at the seams that depicted a ripped-off look flawlessly.
