Aartivijay Gupta through her collection ‘Mandi’ presented a new twist to the traditional wear.

Silhouettes were anti-fitted and aimed at fitting every size and shape. Fabrics included were headlined hand-woven Jamdani, worsted wools, pashminas and mulmul. The colors pallet consisting of muted dark biscuit browns, oxblood red, ochre, leaf green and beige highlighted the ensembles. Indian farmer’s Gamcha checks that were paired together with the other prints that took the collection to a new height.

The collection showed adjustable waist trench coats, big pleated skirts, adjustable wrap around skirts, buttoned work-wear shirts and farm aprons. The two male models wore suits, monochromatically checked with photo prints of gourds and other vegetables scattered on the garments.

The women’s wear range had structured coat blouse paired with a belted sari and a wide legged pair of pants with pegs worn with a crop top and a trench coat.
