01The ultra-chic Bal des Débutantes 2017 was a magical evening of glamour and royalty in Paris. Each year since 1992, ‘le Bal’, the Parisian Pomp brings together twenty girls and twenty boys from a dozen nationalities. For one magical evening of couture, cavaliers and fundraising, these esteemed guests – the living legacy of renowned influential families across the arts, politics, business and culture – make their grand entry into the uppermost echelons of society and high fashion.

This year’s international débutantes, accompanied by their handsome cavaliers, made a grand entry into international high society over the weekend, at the 25th annual Bal des Débutantes, which was held in Paris.

The event saw four fresh faces from India – Princess Gauravi Kumari of Jaipur and Ananya Panday – daughter of Bollywood couple, Chunky and Bhavana Panday. The young ladies were joined at the prestigious event by their respective siblings, HRH the Maharaja of Jaipur, Padmanabh Singh and AhaanPanday – son of Atul and Deanne Panday.

Princess Gauravi Kumari opted to wear a sari-inspired gown by ace Indian coutourier, Tarun Tahiliani for the event and her cavalier for the evening was HRH Prince Paul Louis de Nassau of Luxembourg. Ananya Panday looked stunning in a couture gown from Gaultier Paris and was escorted by HSH Prince Philip d’Arenberg of Belgium. Both ladies were adorned in exquisite jewels from Payal New York, which perfectly complemented their ensembles for the evening.

Meanwhile, HRH the Maharaja of Jaipur, Padmanabh Singh was cavalier to Ava Phillipe, daughter of Academy Award Winner Reese Witherspoon and actor Ryan Phillipe and AhaanPanday was cavalier to Alice de Séjournet de Rameignies of Belgium.
