Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor in association with Elizabeth Arden set the tone for the forthcoming festive and bridal season by showcasing their Festive and Bridal Couture collection with actor Pooja Batra and model Lalit Tehlan at a select gathering in the capital.

Their creations are a tribute to art, style, indulgence and all things luxe. Their haute couture creations for men and women stand out for fine detailing and exquisite craftsmanship. Cultured pearls, dazzling rhinestones, faceted tourmalines, citrines and lapis lazulis follow jewel motifs on their bridal trousseau. Vibrant colours beckon the eye. Crystals and very well cut diamantes add glitzy chic to every garment. Three dimensional influences add that extra chutzpah. Embroidery with satin lace, crinkled tissue and silk stands add voluminous appeal.

Commenting on the collection, designer Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor elucidate, “Wedding trousseau is fast shaping up to catch up with the cosmopolitan brides. Keeping this in mind, we have used the silhouettes and fabrics that best flatter the Indian brides. Our couture collection comprises of bridal lehangas, drape sarees and Victorian sensibilities in very vibrant colors of the season.”

The self-taught designers have an enviable clientele that includes Bollywood stars and social movers and shakers. Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor also have the distinction of being the only Indian designers to be invited to the prestigious Malibu Foundation for Youth & Families Gala Dinner where they donated their most exquisite creation, a diamond and emerald couture bracelet, for auction. Guests present at the auction included Kenny G, Cindy Crawford, Janet and Martin Sheen, Mark Burnett with actress wife Roma Downey, among others.
