Sequel, as the name suggests, is a restaurant that has taken the coffee shop experience to the next level. A United Group project, Sequel aims to create the same feel as the United Coffee House with loads of variety. I am normally not all about eating out (only when my stomach permits) but the Sequel was highly recommended to me so I had to try it. From the outside it looks like nothing special, you could actually almost miss it. When we were there, there was a man standing out front who helped us in getting seated and would not allow anyone to enter. The decor looked very posh and it made you feel like you were in some really fancy restaurant, with the hefty prices.
A prolific menu adorned by Mediterranean and European dishes along with Asian and authentic Indian cuisine will leave you spoilt for choice to say the least. I had this gorgeous Mediterranean starter Arabian Prawns, spinach and mushrooms and their signature dishes in the main course were to die for! The meat was so fresh and perfectly seasoned it is a must have. I was also impressed by the generous portions.
Despite high turnover in the kitchen, this cozy Defence Colony favourite offer well-made fare with a more avant-garde sensibility than its competition along the strip, I suppose. United Coffee House started its story over 65 years ago and Sequel has added a completely new page to this saga. They understand people’s diverse tastes ranging from traditional Indian to European and look to satisfy every taste bud.
